Good lord. Does Clemson have everyone coming back or something?

Florida looks like the most enticing bet out of the bunch.

Is A&M the new USC?

Clemson has one of the youngest teams in the nation

They return their DL and of course, Lawrence. But they lose Simmons, Etienne, and Higgins. They lose a lot of OL.
Just expected to load up again + an easy schedule + best returning QB = favorable odds.

Well they do have the best QB in the SEC

Losses
WR - Tee Higgins (NFL probable)
WR - Amari Rodgers (TN transfer possible)
LG - John Simpson (Grad)
C - Sean Pollard (Grad)
RG - Gage Cervenka (Grad)
RT - Tremayne Anchrum (Grad)
RB - Travie Etienne (NFL proable)
DT - Nyles Pinckney (Grad)
LB - Isaiah Simmons (NFL probable)
LB - Chad Smith (Grad)
CB - AJ Terrell (NFL probably)
SS - K'Von Wallace (Grad)
FS - Tanner Muse (Grad)
Key Return
QB - Trevor Lawrence
WR - Justyn Ross
LT - Jackson Carman
DE - Logan Rudolph
DT - Tyler Davis
DE - Xavier Thomas
LB - James Skalski
CB - Derion Kendrick
I'm sure they'll be really good and they have tons of young talent, but they basically lose their RB/2 best WR/secondary/best LB/entire OL

not everyone, but much more importantly, the other 13 ACC teams are all coming back.

Is Mond returning for his seventh year of eligibility?

I like Florida's chances. Georgia will lose to Bama in week 3 and then lose to Auburn before they even play the cocktail game.

Lawrence returns at QB and Clemson has a stable of 6’5” WR who were Freshmen this year waiting to step in next year plus Ross returns. Three 5 star DLineman coming as well. OL is the question.

If so, I don't understand why their odds are so good. Clemson looked average, at best, last night.

That and they are virtually guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. It you are pretty much a lock before the season to have one of only 4 spots to win it all, you are going to have really high odds compared to the rest. You have 4-5 SEC teams legitimately fighting for likely one playoff spot so even if those teams are as good as Clemson their odds of winning the NC are going to be more diluted.
Similar thing with Ohio State although not as pronounced as Clemson.
OU has the same thing going on to some extent although people have to be realizing now that OU may make it to the playoffs but they are pretty overmatched when they get there and their NC odds should reflect that.
