I hope that nothing has been announced yet because the new coach is still working and is preparing for a game either tomorrow or Sunday.

Will Hall - OC at Tulane
Joe Moorhead - Former HC MSU/OC PSU
Dan Enos - OC Miami/QB Coach Bama

Who else out there we thinking? Americus already said I was wrong cause I guess Dan Enos

ETA: Maybe Shane Beamer?

I am intrigued by this. Would a guy take a step down from a HC to a Co-OC or even a Passing Game Coordinator?

Was thinking more along the lines of the NFL because it would cost a pretty penny to get Brady from LSU at this point.

There have been several do this at Bama, some even as low paid “interns”/analysts off field. We could potentially add Moorhead or someone else getting a buyout in this way, they keep getting their buyout. AND add an on field coach.

Pretty sure AD said it would be someone with NFL experience and the two names being thrown around the most are Jedd Fisch and Mike Lafleur.

No idea, I would think he'd get an OC offer before coming here though

Oh yea, no chance we get Brady

Maybe we give Schotty another shot. Pry him from Pete Carrol.

OR we get Josh McDaniels and mind frick the country.

Oh wow. I missed that. Off to google I go.

ETA: Is Mike LaFleur the Packers HC's bro? And a Shanny disciple? I'm in.

Yes sir. Kirby would have hit one out of the ball park if he hires him.

There's no way in hell we'd hire Moorehead. He's awkward and would be a disastrous recruiter, doesn't fit in culturally at Georgia

Hell if I know, but it's been said the next hire has NFL experience and those are the two names that have been thrown around the most.

Mike LaFleur is the passing coordinator for the 49ers. Only problem is he's already being interviewed for other positions in the nfl .

The only issue with LaFleur is the possibility of a too complex playbook/scheme.

If he's forced to keep it stupid-simple and not change a ton of verbiage and jargon, then I'm all for it.

But I remember Falcons players, like Matt Ryan even, doing interviews and clearly inferring that Kyle Shannahan's playbook was huge, intricate, and confusing a bunch of their players.

If NFL guys have a tough time learning it, I guarantee you college kids who are getting tutored just to barely pass classes with minimum GPA requirements are going to have a much harder time absorbing it.

What we need is someone who isn't going to blow up the playbook, just a dynamic game planner who can adapt, assimilate, add some new wrinkles, and then call games with proper real-time reads/defensive analysis and adjustments on the fly.

Something it seems Coley simply can't do, as evident by his ridiculous telegraphed tendency to constantly and stubbornly run up the middle even after it's been proven an unsuccessful play over and over against particular defenses.

I haven't seen any connection between Lafleur and UGA. I think he's on the fast track to being a NFL head coach so I'd be very surprised if he took a job in college.

Maybe I am wrong but I think Coley would still be playcaller. I have heard every variation of this but Brady just revamped the offense and coached up Burrow while Ensminger still calls plays. So something like that.

But as jodeaux said, wonder if he rather stay NFL because being a Shannahan guy is just the new McVay guy schtick.
