Probably don’t cut it boss.

It wasn’t an ill advised throw by the qb. It was an ill advised route by the wr.

This whole thing is hilarious. Georgia went from having Fromm and Fields, to now having to chase after an ACC interception machine.

Surratt went down in the VT game IIRC. My Wake buddy said they ended up losing their 3 best receivers? No clue how accurate that is.

I'm not sure what to think of him just yet, but I'd rather have him over Brice personally.

From has started for 3 years and the whole time everyone knew he was gone after his junior year. How is Georgia in a situation where they’re relying on a grad transfer from wake forest? Just seems like an odd fit all the way around.

Yea - Brice is probably a little more of a wildcard. His only real experience in a game that mattered was that Syracuse game, and everything else is mop up.

Newman has played and been the center of attention for the opposing defense for 2 years. I'm sure he'll feel like a kid in a candy shop at UGA. At worst he's probably a competent game manager, at best a really good QB.

I was clearly a bit harsh in my assessment. FORGIVE ME NEWWWWWWWWWWWMAN!

They were decimated at the WR position during the last few weeks.

so many lately? As in 1?
Fromm over Eason was the right call - even if I still maintain that Eason should have had a bit more of a chance to come in late in games and try and win back time... it wasn't really mishandled and his transfer was amiable.

Fields issue was primarily mishandled indirectly. Not finding a scholarship for Bennett meant we couldn't redshirt Fields to create an extra year of separation between him and Fromm. Had we done that, 2019 would have been an open competition, and Fields likely would have stolen the starting job by midseason if not earlier based on how the offense was playing in general.

Because our QB recruit from last year had a cyst removed from his brain last year. Remind me how many transfer QBs were in the playoffs again?

Yeah. My worry on Brice is he's a "gamer" type, that seemed to find a way, but it's not really pretty even when he's been in. Feels very Fromm extra lite?

At least Newman will (and I can't emphasize how much I HOPE this to be true) force Kirby and the staff to modify the offensive approach to something more modern that will also be more attractive to future QB recruits (or really any offensive skill players).

Hell, at the very least he'll bring back the possibility of the QB keeping on that read play y'all use so much for simple inside runs. Fromm used to do that 3-4 times a game in prior years and I'm convinced it made defenses respect it - because he was liable to run for 10-20 yards if you didn't. In 2019 that just disappeared. It felt like every d-end you played was just crashing down on the back.

If the wr incorrectly changes his route as a throw is being made, he screwed up.

Only Georgia could find a way to frick up Eason, Fromm, and Fields.

Yea - WR thought he was scrambling and ran his scramble route. Fields didn't end up scrambling and threw the regular option read route.

On top of that he slipped. It happens.

Why would the WR think he was scrambling? I read what the WR said. But the replay clearly shows Fields standing in a clean pocket. You sure ole one read Juthtin didn’t throw it before the break?

That bitch’s reaction sure seems to suggest so.
