Stokes, Campbell, Daniel, Stevenson.

Add Webb and hopefully Wilson...

Damn. This is so far removed from 2017 where it was Baker and a bunch of others.

Minus Daniel that’s a lot of beast in the secondary

I put Campbell above Daniel when healthy.

But Daniel had a very solid year. 8 pbu's was only 1 behind Stokes (and he started fewer games).
Playmakers make plays. Daniel was a playmaker for us this season.

DJ drew many costly penalties and got beat badly a few times at crucial moments. Call a spade a spade, he was okay.

He wasnt perfect. But he also had huge pbus at key times in games.

I'd be curious to see his pff grade

And a couple of those penalties were bullshite.

A receiver stemming the defender shouldn't get the benefit of a holding call when the defender is reacting to the hand on his chest.

Look at it this way.
Mcghee was our starting nickel back at the end of 2017.
He hardly got any playing time this season despite Webb and Wilson getting nicked up at times.

That is how far our DB room has improved up to 2019.
And I think 2020 is going to be even better assuming no injuries at safety.

2017 was McGhee. All the time.

2019 was Webb, Wilson, and Stevenson covering the nickel at times. When we needed more DBs, we saw Cine step in ahead of McGhee.

Our DB room is very impressive. Lots of speed that we didn’t have a few years ago. I hope they let Ringo get in on some offensive plays because he probably won’t see the field much with our current lineup. I think Campbell is going to be really good next year. Daniel is solid but a good reciever with elite speed beats him.

Unless I’m missing something from Ringo’s tape, I’ll bet you by mid season he’s in the top 3 with Stokes and Campbell with Stevenson playing the Star type role and Daniel maybe not playing as much.

Add in Ringo who matches Campbell and Stevenson in freakish athleticism. Kimber is another 6'1" guy with 4.45 speed, but he will probably some time to develop which we have the luxury of giving him. Best cornerback room in the nation and best secondary overall. If our pass rush continues to improve we could have even better defense this last season.

Funny, I would have said minus Webb since he was picked on quite a bit and gave up the most yards per attempt by a wide margin. DJ played pretty well most of the second half of the season.
