The SEC a college football conference and as the best QB in cfb history, he is automatically the best in SEC history.

He’s the only guy to ever sling it that is top 10 in yards, TDs, passer rating and completion %. He’ll probably finish #1 or 2 in all but yards (likely #5) but may not even end up in the top 100 for pass attempts.

I mean... he owns just about every record.

It’s not much of a debate at this point.

#1 is from an imcomplete season. In the only game against a ranked opponent, the opponent’s qb almost doubled his qbr.

Like many teams, Bama had a QB in the top 10 in one of the 4 categories.

Burrow won more awards than all non-LSU players from all conferences combined.

He’s easily had the best season by a QB in CFB history. It rivals what Barry Sanders did at Oklahoma State.

ETA: Tua had a phenomenal season in his own right. It’s just unfortunate for him that two of the GOAT quarterbacks played in the same division in the same year.

Do you even watch football? I thought you had moved on to amateur violin appraisals.

Hell, he's better than any QB at LSU.

Burrow is the best college QB I've ever seen and that's saying something when we've seen the likes of Tebow/Newton.

I can’t appraise, but I can spot a fake. And watch college football.

Multitasking.

LSU has a 1-year wonder at QB. Cool. I saw another team do that in 2010.

Burrow has had the greatest season in SEC history. His other season... he was mediocre. Not the greatest ever but I will say his 2019 > any Tebow season and Cam’s 2010.

The difference is recruiting and scheme. LSU has the best offensive scheme in CFB and maybe the best skill players, most of which are underclassmen. A lot of QBs are going to put up numbers under this regime, including in 2020. Brennan is going to surprise and disappoint a lot of SEC fans next year.

True, but he transferred in the summer and had 2 months to mesh with receivers that hadn’t played the year before and he was learning an offense that was being made up from scratch by an OC that hadn’t run an offense in 20 years.

Tebow came in under Meyer and Cam came in under Malzahn. Both already had an established system that fit their QBs abilities. Burrow only got that this year with Brady.

LSU has a great team this year but you might want to pump the brakes.

True. However when talking about the greatest ever you’re going to go with the guy who was a 3x Heisman finalist, one time Heisman winner, and 2x national champ over the guy with one year, however great it was. Just my opinion but I think it’s an easy choice if we’re talking about full career. You can make the case for Burrow though, I’ve never seen a year like this before.
