51 players are from the state of Texas in the LSU vs Oklahoma semi final game. LSU and Oklahoma almost doubled the amount of wins Texas and Texas a&m had combine at the end of the regular season.

Texas/Texas a&m 14 wins

Oklahoma 12 wins

LSU 13 wins

Why does Texas flagship schools miss out on the great players that run for the border to LSU and Oklahoma?

This has to suck for a has been program and a never will be program.

There are fifty gazillion kids in The Great State.
Unfortunately, there isn’t room for all of ‘em to stay and play ball.
I’m happy that they were well developed growing up, landed at good programs, and are playing in a big game.

LSU and OU tend to make “strong-arse offers,” if you know what I mean.

Most of those kids can’t pass the admission standards of Texas instate schools. OU has been defined by this forever.

Yes but do your cities have a beloved population of bats? What about a massive influx of software nerds who couldn’t pay their rent in San Fran? Can you spend $8 on a street taco?

I doubt it, you’re all just jealous.

The best programs in Texas are soft, and the best players in Texas don't want to be a part of it, so they are forced to make business decisions, and attend school out of state. Sad!

We could take the best 50 kids each year and still miss out on great players. Texas just produces that many good kids.
