I expect we'll be more balanced run and pass next year

especially if Trey Sanders is as good as reports from fall practice indicate.
Will be interesting to see how the qb depth chart shakes out and the differences in the offense for each qb. I think Young was considered the best dual threat qb in the nation and so, with him, I'd expect to see more run with the rpo than with Mac. Taulia may be the wild card. In any event, I'm kind of stoked about the possibility.
Still possible, I guess, that Tua will return. I'd love for him to come back, but though I'm not sure there is such a thing as "injury prone", he sure has had bad injury luck. May be better to take the money, even if it isn't first round. I'm sure he'll call me for my input.
More balanced, I mean, in production. We were actually pretty balanced this year in attempts. If ncaa.org has it right we actually ran the ball a little more often. 406 rush attempts for 2038 yards and 381 passes for 4122 yards.

If we get back some of these guys like it’s being whispered we will be a doomsday machine. All the motivation in the world and tons of talent with experience.

If Tua comes back, it's safe to say the QB run won't be used very much. We didnt run Tua much at all this year before the injury.

Tua simply has to learn to give up on a play sooner and live to fight another day. His injuries aren't from scrambling ahead for yardage, his injuries are from waiting for something to develop too long, extending the play, and the defense finally gets to him. It's an admirable trait but its also destroying his body.

Leatherwood would see a bump if he returned as well

The original picture had the depth chart board behind him. Was really trying to get that into clear view in the avatar but didn't have much luck.

I seen, once I zoomed in Croyle to Pennington.
McAddley was from right near where I live in Oak Ridge.

I went to Dobyns-Bennett in Kingsport and in my youth we basically played Oak Ridge in the quarterfinals of the playoffs every single season. Some great wars.

I don't expect much to change in the offense. Most of the RBs we have are also good receivers and we won't let those talents go to waste.

Bruh Najee averaged damn near 7 yds a carry.
If we're more balanced next year it'll be because the most talented quarterback in Alabama history is playing in the NFL and not Tuscaloosa

I'm interested to see how the running back rotation works out. There is quality depth and Trey Sanders should be the lead guy. Keilan Robinson and McClellan should be in the mix. Very talented group.

That goofy damn Franchione, in spite of the fact that sanctions precluded us from having a full roster, he was 2 recruits short of signing as many as he could. I mean, ok, I understand the elite players weren't lining up to play for a team on probation, but he could have found 2 able high school recruits somewhere to at least sign as many as possible. It's like he figured the ncaa sanctions weren't quite bad enough so let's add 2 more lost scholarships to the penalties.
Sumabitch was probably already planning his exit and didn't give a shite.
edit to add though that all that b.s. led in a meandering way to St. Nick Saban, so all's well that ends well, I guess.

Well sure, but also as noted, if Young is the qb he'll probably bring a Jalen factor to the offense, because evidently he's very mobile (so was Tua before all the injuries). If Mac is the qb (I expect this), we'll probably run more than this year to take some of the heat off the qb, because he isn't as mobile and I doubt he will progress through his reads as quick as Tua did, who was a hell of a lot better than for which he was given credit. And then, if Sanders is as good as advertised it will only help. So add it all up and I bet the rush/pass yardage is closer than this year.
But nobody dissed Harris. He had a pretty good year, especially the latter part of the year. Seemed to be better the latter part anyway. Stats may tell it different. I don't know.
