Really shocking at the talent Bama has yet isn't even in playoffs this year
What a waste

It’s such a shame that we don’t have freshmen JV games like back in the day.

It is a reflection of a Freshman playing a regular role on a Bama team, regardless how well they play. Same with recruiting. They get a bump by the name.

Injuries forced talented guys to get on the field.

FWIW only 2 SEC teams had freshman punters this year. The other was Vanderbilt’s.

Having 5 Freshman All-Americans isn’t a good thing. That means you had a ton of injuries

I mean didn’t they have to start like 7 of them? So I guess the odds would play themselves out here.

yep. I've never seen a team lose so many starters to injury as this year's Alabama team (and lost 2 games by a total of 8 pts) but on the flip side, a lot of young players got some experience.

All that talent and zero ranked wins...Saban is mailing it in at this point in his career. Maybe he’s thinking about the New York Giants job?

well, it's bad thing they had to play so much so early due to injuries, but it's a good thing they were talented enough to play that well. Lot of mistakes, though, especially on defense. A better DC would have remedied some of that. Golding often seemed as clueless as the freshmen.
