if I recall, most of his issues at UT were secondary violations and largely attributed to his own ignorance with the rules. The big issue was the "hostesses" traveling to visit recruits, which I don't think was ever tied directly to him and or likely had been a practice before him.

I'd say Bruce Pearl's hosting recruits and lying about it was what brought the NCAA attention around that time frame. They just got a bit more interested in Lane as they dug around.

If they're not investigating UGA and LSU then it's not going to happen.

I can understand why UT fans are upset. They have Pruitt and Ole Miss ends up with Kiffin. Didn’t we hear the same thing from LSU fans when Saban went to Bama?

Kiffin will be coaching the Browns by the time the NCAA hands down sanctions at OM I'm guessing 4 years from now
