Morris coached Watson his true freshman year when he started like 2 games.
I'm not saying Morris is a homerun hire or anything but DeShaun Watson has nothing to do with his reputation.

He was good at Clemson. Did he coach the offense at Arkansas? I mean Arkansas needs an infusion of talent. I think Pittman can do that. If Gus allows Morris to take control of the offense and allow him to run the offense like he wants it could be a huge get for them. Gus has not shown an ability to take a step back and do that, though. Only time will tell if Morris can make it happen.

Not what I said. He was incompetent at running an offense at Arkansas. That’s why he was hired.
Go watch his intro press conference at Arkansas where he sold his philosophy, we never once saw it. Snake oil.

Switch the grades for Morris and Drinkwitz and I would say your grades would be fairly accurate. Morris was carried by an absurd amount of talent at Clemson (Nuk Hopkins, Martavis Bryant, Sammy Watkins, Tajh Boyd) and his offense got killed in every big game. I am not sold on him being this “home run hire”.

I do not see any home run hires. However, all the assistant coaching hires of former head coaches are solid hires.
