@RossDellenger

Some news here in New York, per sources: #LSU’s Dave Aranda, mentioned already at Colorado State, is also in the mix at #UNLV. He’s the highest-paid assistant in the country and wants to be a head coach.

School has spoken to #Oregon OC Marcus Arroyo and Matt Canada.

I hope Aranda gets the CSU gig. I think he could make a lot of noise there.

Colorado State is definitely a job where you can win.

UNLV just feels like one of those jobs where it "seems" like you can win........but nobody ever does.

Now would be a great time for a G5 school to make a swing at him, when some think he has lost his touch.

2020 will be Aranda's last year at LSU, if he doesn't leave this year.

He's constantly been linked to HC positions and he's now bankrolled about $6 million from LSU as a coordinator. He can afford to take a major pay cut for a few years to give it a shot.

And from that tweet it sounds like he has decided he is ready to go be a head coach somewhere.

I really don't know much about him outside of his X's and O's. Do folks who know his personality and abilities think he will be a good head coach?

I'm not even sure I've ever heard him talk.

He's not much of a personality, but then neither is Nick Saban.

If he can convince kids he can win games and get them to the next level it doesn't really matter how likeable he is.

Yea I just didn't know much about his recruiting, relationship building, etc.

He's clearly earned a shot and it makes sense to go out West where he started. He knows that league.

Oh shite it is in Fort Collins... in another thread about Butch Jones and Colorado State yesterday I made a comment about Colorado Springs seeming like a nice place to live.
