Isn't continuing to participate a penalty?? Seems I recall it being called against LSU last season.

On Shivers or McKinney? I don't know much about that rule

Normally yes, but the refs thought it would be unfair to penalize him after Shivers destroyed him

That's the rule, but the gif you posted doesn't show his continuing action. Did he stop? Did he chase down the runner?

The reason that helmet popped off so easily was because of all that crap hair he had stuffed up there. That’s the reason it came off! It’s dangerous. I’ve been seeing it happen more and more. It want be until someone gets hurt that the schools will finally tell them to cut it. Sometimes common sense should trump looking cool.
