Does anyone else hate the fact the national championship is played on Monday?

I detest this with a passion. Why not have the national championship on a Saturday night as college football should be?

Never noticed. If we're not in it, why watch it? Otherwise, if we are, I'm taking that day off and the next day off, so what do I care?

Yep. No one should have to go to work or school on that day.

I agree with this. Would like to get hammered and not have to worry about work the following day

That reminds me, I need to see about taking that Monday and Tuesday off from work.

NFL playoffs are Saturday afternoon and evening / Sunday afternoon and evening during January.

I absolutely hate the "normal Monday" date.

I'm in favor of a New Year's Day final.

Semis the Saturday before Christmas,
Finals on New Year's Day

Yes. I enjoy the national championship even though I pretty much quit watching most college football that doesn't involve SC. And even that I'm not watching right now. But a fricking Monday? I want to go out to the bar to watch the game and not feel like shite the next day at work.

I despise that there is a month break between conference championship games and the first playoff game, but I despise more that there is no break between the semis and the final.

They should move the semis back one week

Yeah it sucks. We got lucky in 2011 and 2014 because we had a snowstorm and everything was shut down the following day (Tuesday).

I hate that, too.
Don't like the final four final on a Monday, either, but that's a little more tolerable since a basketball game lasts half as long as a football game

So, the playoffs are on Saturday 12/28 and the Championship is on Monday 1/13. Why could they not just put the Championship on Friday 1/10? I doubt there are any high level competing events going on that day.

Some of the BCSCGs were on Thursday. That was nice since I had no classes on Friday.
