2018:
#7 ranked 9-2 Tigers go into College Station and lose.
Still make New Year's Six game
End season #6.

2019:
#1 ranked 11-0 Tigers playing A&M
SEC West Champions already have SEC Championship berth.
Will probably make CFB Playoffs even with a loss.

Lose to the Aggies, then Georgia kicks that arse, and see how fast folks forget about LSU.

It doesn’t mean nothing. The team wants to mud stomp them and that’s exactly what they are going to do

This is one of those games where if the Tigers arent careful and focused from start to finish, they could mess around and end up only beating A&M by 45

If that's how you feel after the way that last year ended, you're a retard.

Actually the melt will be great but doubt aTm can keep it within 21.

But you are wrong. If LSU were to drop the game and then get beat by UGA, LSU would not even make a NY6 bowl.

It doesn’t mean nothing.
It may, in terms of playoff positioning.
But the fans get pretty darn salty over it.

Times that more than 50 points was scored by one team in this series:

1899: A&M 52, LSU 0
1914: A&M 63, LSU 9
2016: LSU 54, A&M 39
2018: A&M 74, LSU 72

When either team scores 50+, A&M leads 3-1

When 40-49 points was scored by one team in this series:

1922: A&M 46, LSU 0
1972: LSU 42, A&M 17
1991: A&M 45, LSU 7
2010-2011: LSU 41, A&M 21
2017: LSU 45, A&M 21

When either team scores 40+ points, A&M has a 6-4 edge.

When either team scores 30+ points, LSU has a 21-18 edge.

When one team scores fewer than 30 points, LSU has a 10-7 edge.

When both teams score fewer than 30 points, LSU has a 22-13-3 edge

OP is right. 2019 still have to see how things fall but the game will not matter if LSU wins the SECCG.

2018 LSU played in the same best possible bowl and finshed with the best possible final ranking as it the fluke didn't happen.

Well if LSU loses to them and Georgia they are out of the playoffs so it means something.
