Agreed...Hurts making a solid case but my vote is with Burrow. He’ll break the season completion % record (best in the history of college football), has his team contending for the national championship. That really ought to do it

It may be a jinx, but it is true. It is like having a big lead late in the 3rd quarter. You may not win, but you definitely should, and it will be awkward if you don't. It's like mentioning someone who is 15/15 from the free throw line as they step up to shoot free throws. Should you not speak of how well they are doing for fear of a jinx?
