However, not because of the hip injury. Only fools would criticize him for allowing Tua to finish out the half...benefit of 20/20 hindsight.

Tua now deemed injury prone because he’s had 3 surgeries over the last 2 years. But, 2 of the 3 were completely elective such that Saban could get Tua back on the field quickly. Dude had 2 sprained ankles...not exactly a big deal.

But, because of Saban wanting him back on the field, now Tua tainted with the injury prone rep because of the 3 surgeries.

Which is extremely unfortunate. The limping schtick at the end of the LSU game was a bit ridiculous. But, he had to play the game. However, that young man is a warrior. He dislocated his hip, broke his nose, and was concussed on a single play.

Here’s to hoping the NFL looks past the bs.

Yep, Saban out there just surgerizing kids left and right that don't need it. I think you're on to something.

WTF is wrong with you people? You're getting ready to go get blown out by Clemson or OSU in the playoffs, and all you care about is Bama.

According to Finebaum the Tua injury is directly related to the playoff selection committee in Grapevine, Texas.
It's laughable.

In this day and age ot is amazing that Saban was able to kidnap Tua, drug him up and have Drs willing to perform the 2 ankle surgeries against his will and no one has pressed charges nor arrested anyone.

Does Saban really have that much power? If so, by you criticizing him puts you in grave danger. That knock on door is Saban coming to get you for the lobotomy.

This is what cognitive dissonance looks like. LSU broke them so bad, then the Tua injury!

No way Coach Sabah is wrong.

Here’s a hint Bama fans. Just bc you are one of the greatest coaches of all time; doesn’t mean you never make mistakes!

I said something similar to this in post earlier.

Go ahead and down vote and insult me all you want, but the truth is no matter what Saban does, LSU fans are going to criticize him. Your hatred is so deep for him your reasoning is clouded.

The non ending posts about letting Tua play is borderline obsessive. But if we had lost, you would have criticized him by saying, The doctors cleared Tua, what a fool Saban is for not letting him play!

Now it is the tightrope surgery. Do any of you think for maybe one second that the doctors might have had a say in those decisions? How about his parents? No, you don't because that does not fit your Saban is always wrong mantra.

The liberals have their Trump derangement syndrome and LSU has their Saban derangement syndrome.

Decision to allow surgical procedures isn’t on Tua...systemic pressure to get done so he can get back on the field. Very short sighted and without regard for player.

Unlike, Orgeron who held Fournette out of bowl game against his wishes. But, Saban already said he’s only cared about 4-5 of his players out of the 1000s he’s coached.

Not worried about Alabama nor Saban. You guys can keep the old codger. His defense is out of date and incapable of adjusting while his offense isn’t modern/diverse enough. His offense has benefited from having a generational talent in Tua. Good luck next year with Mac.

It’s too bad Alabama fans have bought in so hard on Saban that they feel the need to defend the guy when his decisions directly costing Tua tens of millions of dollars.

They couldn’t care less about this. This has to do with how Bama/ Saban will be negatively recruited going forward. This directly affects their lives!

They are desperately trying to get their talking points in and it’s disgusting considering what Tua has done for them the last 3 years.

You are accusing the man of putting a kid thru unnecessary surgery for his own gain!

That is some really sick shite! I mean, it's one thing to criticize him for a stupid play call, missing on a recruit, etc., but doing this is just you guys being unhinged!

Tell me this, who benefits the most if Tua has ankles surgeries and plays sooner than expected?

Nope. Not once. Now you are projecting. I question his decision of even playing the poor kid against State.

Again, you are projecting. Muh Coach Sabah can’t do no wrong!

Half your fan base said the same thing right after the injury.

I can’t say I blame Saban. Tua had the right rope last year as did Jalen. Both played not long after and have had no issues with that ankle.

had the procedure on the other ankle and played good in the LSU game minus to turnovers. He was playing great in the MSU game until that injury. It was just a freak injury. About the only thing I question is having Tua play when we were up 28. I mean I understand getting game time situational practice. But with Tua having had surgery I would think forgo the game time practice and pull him and let him rest. But that is hindsight.

He is also responsible for letting Tua tell him what to do and putting him back in the game.
