Gus needs to go, but this doesn't really bother me.
CFB is changing again. Greatest sport ever invented. 100 yards long, and 53 1/3 yards wide. The only stat that matters is wins. Didn't we have a 1000 yard rusher in a blowout IB loss, when we had to run one more play? Jerry Reed posted :(

The offense has been "a work in progress" for the past 2+ years.

well, if we intend to not run our RBs into the ground, this will be a more difficult feat.
You can't expect to consistently have constant thousand-yard rushers, plus fresh RBs that rotate, plus a balanced offense. Gotta pick which one you value. I personally like that we're rotating backs more.

Yes run them into the ground that’s how you recruit other great running backs

Anyone remember when the offense could get you 4 yards by running the ball straight at the defense? 2 plays of 3-4 yards leaves you with a short third down. We don’t have that because we’re running plays I ran in intramural football.

Meanwhile Burrow threw for 500 yards and they had a 150 yard rusher same game.

What's strange is in that Georgia game, Bo threw 50 passes with very little pressure and I think only 2 sacks, and one of them was his fault.
So the OL played well in the passing game, but I really didn't see much push in the run game, which is not surprising giving GA had the best run defense in the conference.
But to not have a running game(consistent one) is hurting our overall offense.

And then you have to convert 5+ third downs to have a successful drive and you get stopped once.

15 of 36 runs were less than 3-4 yards. Not really "pretty much every attempt".

Gus is an offensive genius.
Wait until he lights up Stanford with a whirly bird and a flea flicker.
Yeehaw!

Unfortunate but I think a lot of this is due to Whitlow’s injuries more than anything else. Rushing as a feature of the offense has also dropped quite a bit
