Prior to the NFL Combine, Mosley underwent surgery to repair a labrum issue after dislocating his hip. He attended the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, but was not able to participate in running drills as he was still recovering.[21] Mosley completed the vertical jump, short shuttle, three-cone drill, and broad jump at the combine. (He was drafted 17th overall)

But you tards are saying Tua will go in the 4th round... Seriously put your agenda aside and be objective. I understand every fan base has their share, but how can our Gump % be this high?

I wish that was even the argument... but its sillier than that. Some are saying "no NFL GM is going to risk wasting a 4th rounder" on Tua without seeing him play.

It's crazy.

"Let's just assume he goes in the 4th round".

No, there's literally no evidence in the history of the draft to suggest he would fall that far.

A certain LSU lineman was a first round talent and got caught in legal trouble the day of the draft there was an assumption he could be charged with MURDER and he went in the third round.

I have no agenda. I don’t care either way. I’m just saying Tua isn’t the slam dunk draft pick you all may have hoped he was going to be. He has legit question marks.

He has never played a full college season without injury. He’s had both ankles operated on. A sprained knee. And now a dislocated hip. And the last time we’ve seen him on a college football field he was carted off of it.

My point was if he doesn’t do any football related activities before the draft at all then I would think it will be hard for an NFL team to take that chance when he is recovering from a potential career ending injury

It's not a career ending injury at this point. He has about 2 months before he has to declare for the draft. If everything looks good 2 months from now he will likely still be drafted in the 1st round.

Nobody thought CJ Moseley had a career ending hip injury. Why does everyone think Tua's is so bad?

CJ Moseley went 1st round with this same injury, I don't understand the uncertainty.

(I was way off on La'el no idea why I thought he went in the 3rd round).

Oh ok. I thought initial reports said it was season ending and potentially career ending

Lots of articles about comparing it to Bo Jackson’s. Which obviously ended his football career

The injury itself wasn't what ultimately ended his career. It was how and when they treated it.

Literally everyone involved is saying Tua is expected to make a full recovery.

Last pick of the second round was about $4.6M. Maybe $3M after taxes

Ok?

It's not complicated math. Only $3M for what could possibly be the only pro contract he ever signs? And you don't think he also wants to take care of his parents and maybe all those mother relatives also?

As opposed to $19M...maybe $13M after taxes for being a top 10 pick if he waits a year?

I don't at all think it's likely to be career-ending.

I just think it's going to be so long before he even sets foot on a football field...much less plays in a game...that no NFL team will spend a pick on him in the first two, maybe three, rounds in 2020.

I will personally guarantee Tua will be drafted among the first 15 picks in the first round.

To be quite honest I don't see him falling past Denver.

You can’t really fault a fella for having tight rope done.

As long as there aren’t any major complications during rehab, worst case somebody like New Orleans steals him late in the 1st round with the plan on not using him for 2-3 years.

Learn from a HOF QB, collect big checks, and actually end up somewhere other than Cincy or Miami and have a chance to have a great career with a good franchise.

As a QB if Tua has half of the mobility he had before this injury I think he's drafted and drafted high. Tua's arm especially his accuracy is too much that he won't be drafted in the first two rounds.

A complete recovery and return to form is likely going to take a full year, and there's no need to rush it in my opinion.

Obviously.

You and I may disagree on what he should or shouldn't do, but at the end of the day, neither of us knows what he or his family is thinking.

Mosley went to the NFL combine in February.

If you think Tua's gonna be doing any drills at the February combine, we're not the "tards", pal. And he's not gonna be at Bama's pro day in March. If he's lucky, he might take snaps and throw passes on a practice field by August 1.

When do players have to declare for the draft? Still the first few weeks of January?
