Since the 2nd CFP rankings have been out gumps on this board think that they are poised to jump into the CFP with an UGA loss against LSU assuming both teams win out to the SECCG.
If you look at my posts I have been saying since the rankings were released yesterday I have been saying “not so fast.” And I have stated how I feel this goes down if Oregon goes 12-1 and beats a highly ranked team in Utah in the PAC-12 championship game, they will jump an 11-1 Bama team for the fourth spot in the CFP assuming LSU, Clemson and OSU win out.
The reason I stated that was pretty simple my experience in big business and all the corporate boards I have been on and involved with. I said that the other members will reward Rob Mullen for his work as chairman and put the Ducks in at 4. I got some push back from those comments from some gumps for those thoughts.
Well low and behold on Get Out this morning Paul Finefrickhead the biggest Bama shill there is just basically echoed the same thoughts. He pointed out that Rob Mullen was the AD at Oregon and the Chairman of the CFP committee and then went so far as to give the exact same scenario I gave and said if Oregon does jump Bama in that scenario, that there would be hell to pay and the people will think the whole committee is a scam basically!
You got the biggest shill for Bama on TV already trying to put roadblocks up for Oregon and it is comical! Won’t help though because when you don’t have transparency, and the CFP is the least transparent of them all. We don’t even get to see how each member voted per say to hold people accountable, which is exactly how they want it.
But Bama you also have more problems than Oregon. If Baylor beats OU on Saturday, that CFP spot you want is slipping even further away. Because if Baylor does beat OU they move move inside the top 10 and then if they beat UT the next week they will have jumped you guys into the number 5 spot knocking you down to 6. No way the committee puts a 10-1 Bama above an 11-0 Baylor after just beating OU and UT consecutively. Do I think Baylor beats OU, no I don’t but they are playing at home and OU has struggled as of late so we will see on Saturday.
Bama has some sweating to do and hope for complete carnage!

Doesn't the CFP chairman come on live TV every week to talk about their reasoning?

I realize you can’t understand what I am saying if you have never been on a corporate board before it might not make sense. But this is how they will explain it.
First you have to understand that there is very very little transparency with the CFP committee and the members know it.
So this is how it will go down if it plays out like I said with a 12-1 Oregon team. The committee will use “subjectivity” first something that is almost impossible to dissect with no transparency. They will say that the committee felt that for the most part they looked at Bama and Oregon as essentially being equal and will give points for both teams as to why they feel they are equal. That will then allow the committee to go into other aspects of the teams that help decide by “objective” measures. And the key measure they will point out as to why Oregon jumped Bama will be that Oregon is conference champs and Bama isn’t and that after Oregon’s first game they rattled off 12 wins in a row!
If you don’t believe me bookmark this post and if the scenario comes up and doesn’t end the way I say Bama get jumped by the Ducks, then comeback and give me sh*t, because I sure as hell are going to give you sh*t when I am right!
