Pepe Le Pew isn't putting any chains on me.

I too am on the boards of many, many Fortune 500 corporations and I know shite.

The only reason I haven't retired yet is because my goal is to have 50 million in the bank before I retire.

Next year I'll probably retire. Then, instead of spending all that money and doing real shite in real life, I'll come here to SEC Rant and brag about how I retired early.

I 100% agree with you on your scenarios. My comments were only directed at if, and only if, Oregon is a “one” loss PAC-12 champ that the committee will reward Rob Mullins for his Chairmanship and jump Oregon over Bama.

Haters gonna hate.

Hurry up and retire and join the club because it is a pretty cool club to be in.

a very learned and distinguished business man that retired very early due to his intelligence.

My dad "retired" at the ripe old age of 52 from a fairly posh executive position. Turned out that his own "good old boy" mannerisms and rampant, alcoholic, Mad Men ways ran counter to the avant garde millenial approach to PC business practices.

In short, he was a mid-level executive a-hole, who lacked self awareness and self control and was presented an early "retirement" option that had him eating beans more than he cared for 5 years later. I doubt you appreciate that story, yet, based on your posts in this thread alone.

Most of my experience is with small businesses. So, I can’t comprehend these concepts.

I think they would want to put a 1 loss Pac 12 team in for this reason alone. $$$. Don’t think
I‘m not saying Oregon doesn’t BELONG to be in either because they certainly have a case to date. As does Penn State, Mn, Oklahoma, Baylor (to an extent) and Bama, if one of the top 4 slips up.
The reason I think they pick an Oregon over any of the others mentioned is for TV sets to be tuned into the playoffs on the West Coast, to have some skin in the game, and to keep marketing the college game to a market who the numbers show, are becoming less interested in college football, especially since the creation of the playoffs. They’ve been represented once? The southeast will certainly be watching, Big 10 fans, Atlantic seaboard. Texas television market will be watching because they pay attention to football so I don’t think the Oklahoma, Baylor push is as strong, AND you open up an argument of a “ why not Bama or Penn State). You don’t see a shrinking CFB TV market in Texas. Probably just the opposite. I believe they want to keep that CFP interest in a huge and growing Pacific Northwest / Cali TV market, that has been lethargic and disinterested in the CFP.
Money is the intimate driver of anything these days, especially CFB.

Oh, that is funny. You do indeed seem like a high level corporate mover and shaker.

No wonder you have such unparalleled insight into the CFP committee's internal machinations.

Then again, you could be a 30 year old, unemployed, social misfit that exaggerates his life's accomplishments on a football message board to hopefully garner praise and make himself feel like his life isn't a total waste?

I don't know.

In your last 6 posts here, you have use "LOL" 13 times. I'm not so sure that millionaire early retirees who have incredible intelligence would necessarily do that.

Comprehension isn’t a strong suit of yours is it? lol

My bad I forgot you were a “gump” that is a trait I find with most of you all.

Didn’t say what type of corporate boards I have been on thru my life, for all you know they could have been penny stock boards.

Regarding the cursing, you will hear tons of it off the record in board meetings so I guess we are all bad people because we curse! lol

CAD reading your posts you have to be a special kind of stupid! lol
