Former A1abama players blame Saban for Bama's defensive decline

Following the loss, on SEC Network, Greg McElroy explained that he was upset with Saban for allowing Bama's defense to decline in order to build up their offense, wondering when will the defense Saban's known for return, implying he didn't like the direction Saban was taking A1abama. On Twitter during and after the game vs LSU, former Bama players lit up Twitter expressing similar views, A1abama's defense can't stop anyone!
So my question to Bama fans is, why put defenseless A1abama in the playoffs just to be roadkill for LSU, Ohio St, and Clemson?

Saban had top notch DCs ever since he's been there until Pruitt left. Many believed that it was all Saban. Pretty obvious now that the DCs had a good deal to do with it.

Well they still dropped 40 on LSU's defense so I don't think they would be defenseless against LSU

Correction Clemson clown, Tigers defense gave up 32 pts in 4 quarters, A1abama's defense gave up 33 in a half!
