Sure.

A team last season that gave up almost twice that on the road played in a NY6 Bowl.

Well, there you go. Perfect analogy.

NY6 Bowl is the perfect place for 11-1 Bama, along with 11-2 UGA. One plays Baylor/Oklahoma, the other gets, I dunno, Cincy or App State?

I'm not"dick riding" anyone. Just trying to point out who is a really good team out there.

Congrats on your team's win

Remember when LSU gave up 50 to Arkansas at home and lost to UK and got a chance to play for the title? Short memory for you I guess

You won which generally speaking means you are the best team. But still you are terrified of the team you beat, a team starting five freshmen defenders, the team who gave up those 46. And a team whose odds of you having to play again are so minute as to defy description. Yet you are still shaking in your boots. And your post says you can't believe you won.

Considering it was against the number 1 (I'm sure that will be the case by next list), but they can't get a playoff spot with two losses anyway.

I say yes, especially since they scored 41 and almost came back to win after being down 33-13 at halftime

Don't worry, you'll get your Bama rematch. LSU will be 1 and Bama will be 4

It is not just the loss. And yes, before I say anything "Oh my gawd Arkansas is so bad!"

Moving on. It wasn't just the loss it was that Coach O took his foot off the gas and let Bama back in the game. Despite his tendency to shout out cuss words and famously belligerent attitude Coach O hates to embarrass his fellow coaches. Last year he did that against Arkansas and let us make a game of it in the 4th quarter when we were down and out.

If he doesn't do that against Alabama it is much bigger loss for the Tide than it was. LSU could have, and probably should have, buried Alabama.

More than anything I would take into account that this is not a great Alabama team that has beaten great teams and has one tough loss. This looks like a good Alabama team that has beaten a bunch of nobodies. It is Minnesota but without the big win against a highly ranked team.

I think Bama needs some help to get into the playoffs. They still have a shot and I suspect that being Bama will give them a big edge, but as of right now I am not sure the resume they have for this season cuts the mustard.

Can a team with one win against a Top 20 team get in (assuming they can beat Auburn)?
Pretty pathetic resume.

Seriously the SEC needs to burn down the Division model or add a ninth game and drop the permanent cross division crap.

Also beat Georgia, Florida, and Wisconsin.. so it's much easier to overlook a home loss.

The Duke win isn't gonna have that same effect.

Wasn't the question the post asked. If it had been, I wouldn't have answered the way I did.

Both in triple overtime? But that is irrelevant. The difference is LSU beat 6 teams that finished in the the top 15 of FINAL AP Poll in 2007. We played an incredibly difficult schedule. Bama will not even PLAY 3 teams that finish the top 15, much less beat them. Tide tears are delicious.

As scared as I was a week ago. But you sound delusional... and desperate.

They absolutely can and will. Bama is getting into the playoff the same way they did in 2017 because the committee is a Gump loving joke.

Still hurts hu?

2017 was absolutely defensible. That situation isn't going to happen again, though.

I don’t disagree. Alabama is not a championship team this year.

Bama didn’t almost come back to win. LSU kneeled multiple times to win the game after CEH drug the whole Alabama defense 11 yards to seal the win.

Alabama was a long way away from winning that game.

I’m thinking y’all are way more scared about having a weak schedule and being left out.

This is Sabin's weakest De besides his 1st yr @Bama so not surprised y'all hung 46 on us. Losing by 20 at the half I was shocked that we only lost by 5 & with a chance to win if we get a miracle onside kick. So much football left to be played & upsets will probably happen to give us chance as long as we win out. Bama Lsu round 2 would be another ratings monster. It'd be interesting to see what the Vegas line would be with spread & total. Lol
