Will the defense and the running game take up the slack?
Note: not saying he will struggle this season, only what if he should.

Orgeron will just call a forfeit

Easy, Orgeron goes out and hires an expert and changes up the offensive philosophy. See: 2018-2019, LSU.

We quietly have some good backs, just haven't utilized them like you typically see.
I also believe the defense would stiffen if they were ever needed to be counted on. We might see that tomorrow.

What happens when Tua struggles?

Well that would be the fall back for sure, but that would depend on how much he struggles! It would have to be really bad to pull him for Brennan.
But I think the bigger concern would be if our defense didn’t show up.

Exactly. What does Bama do in this same kind of scenario?

Question has already been answered. See UF vs. LSU last year.

What happened last year when he struggled? They got their arse beat.

It may happen of course. Florida is not s high powered team so this is a game LSU may still pull if Burrow doesn’t put huge numbers, and rely on other aspects.
Against Alabama it would probably be almost impossible to overcome.

We would have a tough go of it. But, our defense and return teams could help us overcome if we can get these freshmen polished up by the time we play a quality team. I'll be watching to see how much we've improved saturday
against a middle tier Tex A&M team.

The defense is getting healthy and is working on the missed assignments and mistakes that gave up big plays early in the season.
Losing Devin White was huge. But, the talent is there all over the field on Defense. And, the 5 star Freshmen running backs are coming along nicely. And, our OLine will be at full strength.
As the season progresses, the rest of the team around Burrow and the WRs are only getting better. I imagine the same is happening at Alabama. I don't expect LSU to average 55 points a game going forward, but I do expect them to be more of a complete team and for the defense and running game to get better as the season progresses.
