Im not saying we will beat them, but I am watching them play Auburn on a re-run right now and they do not look better than Texas A&M. We will obviously have to play as good as we did against A&M and it is a long time between now and then, but I am at least expecting us to be competitive.

On that note, can we also point out that Auburn is legit? They may very well win the West. Damn....NOT looking forward to playing them. Maybe Gus will take it easy on his buddy Chad, but that doesnt seem like his style.

State has suspended players returning, haven't played yet this season.

Arkansas football started losing home games to State, which didn't happen historically until Bielema. State, A&M and Missouri we must have better success against.

I loath losing to the Mississippi schools and hope a day returns when them and the faggies are yearly Ws again.

But are they better than San Jose State?

It won't matter if they are or aren't if we throw 5 interceptions again

We can but we won't.

Loser coach, loser team and loser mentality across the board.

Not going to change until we get the right guy in here.

arse Chad has already lost the entire program, no coming back from the SJSU loss.

Not sure considering MSU a cointoss is lowering any expectations. Many had our only SEC win coming from Ole Miss this year. Personally I think both UK and MSU are very winnable. The SEC is really really down in the bottom half this year.

We just pushed a ranked team to a 4 point win at a neutral site playing our backup QB for 2 1/2 quarters without Knox and you don't think UK and MSU are winnable at the very least?

The bottom half of this conference is trash. Kentucky is even worse on offense than we are. Too many people loathing in self-pity over our team to look up and see that half the conference is just as bad as we are. We're bad, make no mistake. There are definite causes for extreme concern and I'm all but assured Chad isn't the guy. However, there is no shortage of awful teams in the SEC this year. There are winnable games remaining on the schedule for this team if they keep their heads on their shoulders.

I think we play aTm close every year (even our absolute worst) because aggies are soft defensively. I think MSU is head and shoulders better than the Hogs so I'm expecting a loss there. And as mentally weak as our team is, coupled with the lack of SEC or road winning experience on the roster, we should fold pretty easily in Lexington if you ask me. Not loathing in self-pity, just dont see the signs for optimism against other conference teams this year.

I think of the coaches in the league now.

O at LSU inherits an amazing talent rich area and recruits well, his coaching has been subpar until recent

Luke at Ole Miss, lol
Morehead, lordy mercy
Stoops... Ahem, not awful but...
Vandy…. Nah
Tenner, lol
Us... Ugg
Odom... whew...

I am not sure anyone really wants to go up against Bama, LSU, GA, etc. on a weekly basis. Job security and what not.

We can and I severely hope we do, just the Razorbacks have destroyed any sense of hope I have. They could bring in a cheerleader and she would throw for 400 yards on us and scramble for a 45 yard TD run for the win

They will injure all of our quarterbacks with that D-line. We may see Jack Lindsey get some snaps.

You hear a lot about how the SEC has become top heavy and the low level teams can't possibly compete with the top of the conference.

But that list of coaches, and I would add Muschamp at USC, isn't exactly a murderer's row of coaching brilliance. A middle of the road coach like Houston Nutt would absolutely clean up coaching against these guys and probably take poor Jimbo Fisher behind the woodshed as well.

Stoops, right now, is the best of the lot and Kentucky seems to be in all sorts of trouble this year.

I feel you are likely correct.

I do not at all expect to win. I mean, how in the hell could anyone expect to win with what we have seen over the past 5 or so years.

But we do have the talent to compete with them.

I presume you would include Ole Miss in this bunch. If only there was a way to compare our performance to that of another in the bottom half of this conference...

Nevermind, I'll stop self pitying and purchase my bowl tickets

If you want to use a game in which we didn't even use our current starting QB for half the game as the barometer for how our team should perform on average, go right ahead. Don't expect most logical people to do the same, though.

Ole Miss also just beat Vandy 31-6. They're in the cripple fight for sure, but they at least have more limbs that work than most. If you guys want to go into every weekend thoroughly convinced we have no shot and conceding every game regardless of who we play, have at it. Personally, I think it's very telling of the mindset of some that one fan simply having a notion that we have the ability to beat teams like MSU and UK (not saying that we WILL beat them, simply saying we have the ability to do so with the talent on hand) gets so adamantly contested. Times are hard, morale is low, and this season is definitely below expectations up to this point, but we aren't the only team struggling. Too much pouting. Not enough looking ahead. Wouldn't surprise me at all to get a W in Lexington next weekend. Very well could lose, but Kentucky is a team we can beat.

god some of yall have lost your shite. Nutt is where he is because he was behind the curve in his own time. bielema and chad have a lot in common with nutt actually and you see where that's getting us. timeouts gone when you need them. clock mqanagement mistakes regularly. poor play calling. bad defense or bad offense maybe both but never both decent.

We’re +7 vs Kentucky. Definitely one of the better chances to win an sec game this year.
