The only shocker is UT. Wyoming has a top 5 coach. Memphis has better players and coaching than Ole Miss.

Of course they are going to relish in it. Between the jealousy still left over from when the SEC was significantly better than everyone else and the irrational hatred of the south they have been dreaming of the day they could rub our noses in it.

It’s because most of the teams in the conference have done nothing. UGA is quite possibly the most overrated program in history. Florida hasn’t been relevant for a decade. Tennessee hasn’t been relevant this millennium. But you have to listen to these fans crow about it like they’ve actually contributed. Yesterday just confirmed what everybody already knows.

I think the push is for just one team from the SEC making the CFP. After yesterday, you will see that campaign pushed hard.

They are already building a case for leaving the SEC out of the CFP. Reality means nothing to them.

The SEC didn’t look that great across the board besides LSU, Bama, TAMU, AU and UGA. UF did beat Miami, so I’ll give them their credit for that. They didn’t look good doing it, but it’s a long season.
So, 6 out of 14 teams look like they could be solid teams based on week 1 results. That’s not a good look.
