Georgia State has only had a football program for 10 years.

They have 27 wins, (one of which is now Tennessee).. Gone to two bowl games. You recruited pretty decent lately.

But thats all gone after this. David didnt take down goliath. David shot a 12 year old in the face.

We lost to Troy in 2017. It's not fatal, but it's not good.

Troy >> GSU though...

This is the kind of loss that can really set their rebuilding program back without a quick rebound.

They aren't awake/sober yet. Give em a few hours before they can begin to process.

Yesterday Tennessee showed us that one dumpster fire wasn't enough, so they brought in a second dumpster and ignited that one, too, then they threw a couch on top for good measure.

Trying to offer a silver lining for Vol fans, here -

In 2000, Saban's 2nd year, UAB beat LSU in their 5th season of D1 football. Things got better from there.

Yep. This reminds me of the Arkansas loss to Colorado State last year. The season was basically over at that point.

Is this the point where I start bargaining saying Saban lost to UAB and ULM and Ed O lost to Troy?

I’m stunned. I wonder if UT will let Clay Travis and Twitter mobs direct the search for Pruitt’s replacement as well.

was not the best, but a Rocky Top
homer writes there's great news in the
making for the Vols :

I have no idea why 27 coaches turned them down.

I feel like this is the beginning of the end of hiring "Hot Coaches" because all the guys who seemingly looked like the next "it" or HC in waiting has flopped for the most part.

HC experience will now be a requirement and not a preferred job prerequisite.
