he looked the part last year. but that was one year. it takes longevity before you declare someone the best ever.

Willy T should be in this thread in no time On a serious note, pump the breaks. Lawrence is great, but one year of dominating College Football does not make you the best ever. He has potential though, that is for damn sure.

Hmmmm.......I sure remember how Troy Aikman played while at UCLA and John Elway at Stanford.

The kid is a star but let's tap on those brakes a bit.

He would have been first pick in the NFL draft
Would be first pick in this upcoming draft as well as next year.
I think he ends up like another Roethlisberger
If you want that top pick next year will be the year to tank in the NFL

Ideally, Saints win Super Bowl
Brees retires
Saints go 0-16 in 2020
Draft Lawrence

Meh. Deshaun Watson put up 2 performances against Bama better than Lawrence’s. Against way better defenses

He did what was asked of him, but I saw nothing that wow'd me vs Alabama.

Aside from that, he never played a single decent team since he didn't play vs A&M.

Although not as bad, reminds me of how everyone made a big deal about Manziel while ignoring he was scoring 5 and 6 TDs against low opponents simply because Sumlin left him in the game even when they were up, but then did terrible against good defenses outside a bunch of luck.

You'd think a former coach would have better sense, but I suppose he's embracing the frick outta his new TV hype role.

Is he kin to the Mond that gave the game away against Auburn?

Tua, Fromm, I’ll mention them with Lawrence, but Mond?

Sorry, Mond is not on their level.

Christ I'm sick of this hot take. Trans rights pioneer? Absolutely. GOAT college QB? Let's pump the breaks a moment.

Let's see how he performs now that DCs everywhere have a season of film and an offseason to game plan for him.

Let's see how he performs when his team is struggling and looking for him to make a play. I don't know that TL played from behind even once last year, he definitely didn't in the 4th quarter. I want to see how he plays under pressure.

How good is he when he doesn't have a few 1st and 2nd round draft picks to throw to. How good is he when he doesn't have a top 3 RB to hand off to?

Throwing for 63%---347 yards--3tds--0int and a 184 rating against a top 10 defense in a Title game as a freshman doesnt really wow you?

Dan Patrick went over this a few times thing morning. He actually said " He's the best, however" and then spoke about some things he'll have to contend with. It was more like "h'ever" but not best ever.
