Not patronizing you at all, you’re the man lol. I’m just trying to figure out what your angle will be when Alabama is pulverizing everyone on their way to the playoffs next year.

You know you’re an attention seeking afterthought on this board when you start piggybacking William Taylor threads.

I liked LSU’s chances before their star TE left. But with him moving on, the tide will definitely turn. Pun intended.

Clemson showed LSU the recipe. It’s done, it’s over.

1st team on the depth chart.

TEs are playmakers in last season's Spread/RPO - they are pass blockers in Sark's O

Miller Foristall is our starter. I had never heard of this guy. He played like 15 plays in 5 games. Probably why he's leaving.

Didn’t even see that one. It seems like most depth charts have Kedrick as a starter.

Not sure what the confusion was about amongst the Alabama fans in this thread?

But I have a feeling that Sark isn’t happy about this. Situation just reeks of locker room drama.

The only thing I've ever heard about this guy is he was talented but a constant problem. He's coming into his junior year, and he hasn't recorded any stats. That should tell you where he was on the depth chart. As much mop up duty as Alabama had last year, he should have been in there. This is no surprise, and not a great loss. Even if he was named the starter he wouldn't have stayed on the field.

Was the Billingshey kid you mentioned an early enrollee?

Not in time for spring football. But got in for weight training.

I see.

You mentioned his size. As an Alabama fan, are you not concerned about an undersized true freshmen taking over that spot?

Kedrick has a rare combination of size and speed. Truly unique. Bullingsley isn’t there yet imho.

This former OL playing TE looked pretty good vs L8U. Guess we can just do that again when we need to.

Hell, we don't even need a decent QB to beat LSU!

I’m afraid the occasional 15 yard gain is what Alabama fans should expect from the TE this year.

A far cry from the production of OJ and Irv.

What the hell are you talking about?

Cameron Latu is 6'5 and 240lbs. He played both sides of the ball in highschool, want to guess the positions? He played as a reciever and DE. Although he looks and played more like a TE than a reciever, they didn't play him on the line - although clearly could have.

You just ignorantly assume because he switched positions it means he's not going to do well at it. Well his highlight videos tell another story as he runs routes, catches the ball and then proceeds to bowl over defenders.

Cameron Latu

And there is no "depth chart" at Alabama which everyone knows. Just peoples guesses. However, if you really really want to go that route - as James was already suspended for the 1st 4 games of the season, Cameron was already the actual listed starter. It was always a question of if Kedrick would be able to take the starting spot away from Cam after the suspension was over - which is clear as to why after you watch Cam's highlight video.

I wonder why this depth chart and article weren't used?

Alabama Football: Projected post-spring 2019 depth chart

quote:

Saban moved outside linebacker Cameron Latu to tight end during the spring to try him out. Latu flourished enough that he’s probably the favorite to start, at least for the first four games.

On James:

quote:

James might be the most talented of the tight ends on the roster, but he’ll have to fight his way out of the doghouse in order to make a non-garbage time impact on the 2019 team. There should be a role for him next season, but it remains to be seen whether he can unseat Latu once his suspension is up.
