“Kedrick is one of the freakiest guys on the team as far as physical prowess goes," tight end Miller Forristall said last year. "I mean, he’s huge and he can run and he can jump, and I’ve seen him throw a ball like 65 yards standing still. He is athletically tremendously talented, and he’s got huge potential.”
James entering the portal is noteworthy not just because of his potential but also because the tight end group was already a concern for Alabama after losing its top two tight ends from last season, Irv Smith and Hale Hentges.
Depth was already enough of a concern that the team moved linebacker Cameron Latu to tight end during the spring.

Yes, the article listing the starters mentions that. A minor suspension typically doesn’t lead to an expected starter transferring.

The articles mention that and still have him as the starter. Speaks to the impact he was expected to make.
(Not sure why people are acting like I made that up when Alabama publications are writing it.)

Miller Forristal and Major Tennison are the top two TEs.
James is suspended regardless of where he ends up.
He’s been nothing of unrealized potential. No impact. 5 career games and no recorded statistics.

You have to have started or been in line to start, to actually be considered a starter.

Again. I am simply going off of what the top Alabama publications are saying.
