How would you rank these according to the hottest seat?

- Chad Morris - Arkansas
- Gus Malzahn - Auburn
- Matt Luke - Ole Miss

I have to give the nod to Matt Luke being on the hottest seat and not just because I am an Ole Miss fan. His protector, Ross Bjork, is gone. Season tickets sales are lower than they have been in decades. This year is put-up or shut-up for Luke and his team doesn't look like it will win many games.

Here's the thing with Luke - what does he bring to the program? He's not a good X's and O's guy, nor is he a great recruiter. If Ole Miss shows improvement, it will be because of RR and Mac. Luke needs to be gone ASAP.

Luke or Malzahn could absolutely be fired this year. Malzahn for 8 wins or less and a blowout loss to Bama. Luke for 5 wins or less and a loss to MSU.

Morris can only really be fired if he goes 0-8 again.

Matt Luke has done a hell of a job with the situation he was handed. Dude deserves a raise and an extension

Matt Luke should be gone. Ole Miss fans should be embarrassed.

You left off Moorhead at MSU.

There was a lot of bitching about him even with wins over a couple of higher-paid HCs in the division. Imagine how things will go if he loses to them this year (in addition to everyone else they're likely to to lose to).

I think it's more likely that he will get the axe than Morris, even if his two-year record is significantly better. He was handed a buttload of quality talent and a 3-year starter at QB and still lost five games. If that's enough to get Malzahn on the hot seat, Moorhead should expect similar pressure.

Luke is likely gone after this year regardless. They will want new blood after the worst of the sanctions expire.

Morris is safe. No one fires a second-year HC unless the guy is calling hookers. Arkansas hired Morris to rebuild the Texas HS connections Bielema dismantled. They'll give him at least a few years to accomplish that.

If more opposing coaches are able to predict AU's offense based on the formation, Malzahn's goose is cooked, but only if AU is willing to fork over the buyout.

Too many Ole Miss fans here underestimate the power of the Old Boy Network. In Mississippi it's not what you can do but who you know that counts. Luke would have to have a disastrous, scandal-ridden season to get the axe in year 3. By year 4 the honeymoon will definitely be over.

It’s Gus. Morris will get 4 years at a minimum to install his system and rebuild the program. Until Ole Miss is out from
Under the NCAA dog house, there’s no reason to replace Luke.

Gus had a very talented team that severely underperformed last year, and his inability to call plays or run an offense without a QB with elite running skills was a large part of that.

He’ll be breaking in a new QB against the toughest schedule in the nation. I doubt he makes it to December.

I'd take Morris off and add boom and stoops.

Luke is most likely to get the axe.

I'd say Gus Malzahn. His protector is now gone and he's left, basically, on his own. Just having a winning season won't save him.

Morris isnt on the hot seat yet. Another 2-10 season it will be on fire next year though.

Chad just checked for TP before sitting down and cracking open the sports page. He hasn't even read the first article or thought about checking his Facebook on the throne. Hell the cap is still on the air freshener. Seats not even warm yet.

It depends on how we are defining hot seat. If it's just likely to get fired with a pretty bad season, I'd put Gus at the top. If he goes 6-6 or worse, he gone. But if we are talking "most likely to actually have the kind of season that would get them fired", I'd go:

1. Luke
2. Muschamp
3. Gus

And not a whole of hot seats after that.

Gus is not being fired. AU has had the hardest schedule the past 5 years and Gus is the only school to win the west and beast Saban. UGA, LSU, and UT is like 0-25 against him.
