quote:
A very pervasive and bizarre area of the unexplained that has grown in recent years is the phenomenon of what are called Black Eyed Kids, Black Eyed Children, or simply “BEKs.” They perhaps need no introduction, but they are basically usually described as being odd-looking kids ranging from 5 years old up to their late teens, with completely black orbs for eyes. The typical encounter has them asking to be let into homes or vehicles, which produces an intense dread in those who are being asked. Although most people refuse these advances, terrible things can happen to those who acquiesce to the demands, and the Black Eyed Kids are most definitely considered malevolent.

Saw a lady with a bunch of them at the store the other day. They're real...

They were running around the Wal-Mart acting all crazy. The lady was dragging two of them from the back of her buggy.

Even without the black eyes I'd be concerned about that group of kids.

It is amazing what Art Bell accomplished. So much of what we view as the paranormal were not even topics of discussion until he made them one. Black eyed kids are a great example of this. I dont necessarily believe they exist, but no one had even heard of them until Art did a show about it back in the late 90's. His phones lines were blowing up with people calling in to share their stories.

Black eyes children fake af.
Let’s take a look at the first reported sighting of the children, reported by a guy named Brian Bethel in Abilene, TX in 1996. There was no record of anything like the black eyed children existing before 1996, which is pretty strange on its own. However, what really sticks out is that Bethel is a self-proclaimed Paranormal Reporter. So the guy is already suspect to believe in the occult. It of course makes sense for him to create a story so he can generate business for his blog. So this is already on some thin ice. Bethel said he was approached by the children while he was in his car, and they asked for money for tickets to the Mortal Kombat movie. However Bethel claimed his encounter happened in April 1996. The Mortal Kombat movie was released June 1995. So why would it still be in theaters? And to clarify, the second Mortal Kombat movie came out in November 1997. So boom. Pretty sure they are fake.
In addition, there are logical explanations, including people who are pranking with black contacts, or people high on drugs. There is also zero actual photo, video, documentary or physical proof of their existence. Only internet stories. You’re all welcome.
