it's harder to win 2 games against a top 4 team back to back than it is to do it once...
Well they both only beat 1 top 4 team. So your point is irrelevant. Kirby came up short just like Richt. You can't say what Richt would have done in that situation because they didn't have the CFP when he beat top 4 teams.

The only thing that matters is Kirby still came up short of a NC.

Kirby beat #2 Auburn, then #2 Oklahoma back to back so.....

I'm glad that after we came up short we aren't averaging 5 losses a year.

I guess that means UGA is too since they beat yall last time they played you in a bowl game too.

With UGA's schedule, not many would.

Unbelievable hilarious that an Aubbie fan is telling us a NC is the "only thing that counts" So are you saying all of Auburn's seasons were shite except for '57 and '10?

Do you guys all of a sudden have Bama,OSU,USC and Oklahoma standards?

What's hilarious is yall trying to hype a coach that lost when it mattered over a coach that yall fired for losing when it mattered.

It is not the only thing that counts, but how many former SEC Coaches were fired after winning SECC? Tuberville, Chizik , Miles, Fulmer, Richt. Some have even won NC. SECC are not as valued as much today.

He lost more than just "when it mattered" by the end. He got blown out by anyone good and lost others to shitty teams. That's why he got fired.

This is some comical shite. You want to lump Auburn's decision making in with the rest of the SEC... Richt, Miles, and Fulmer were all past their prime when they were let go... They weren't fired the year after they won an SECCG... If I had to guess, I'd bet it was at least 4-5 years for each of them from their last SECCG win to their final season?

Not Chizik, but he's a special case. Pretty spectacular deterioration there.

I know that... thus why I separated them. Auburn's decision making has nothing to do with the other coaches on that list.

In the past an SECC would endear a coach to his fan base the rest of his tenure. It wouldn’t disappear within 5 years. Championships meant something, now they are a burden to your chances of playing for a NC ( ask Wisc, AU).

It was in his 2nd year genius.God almighty if CKS goes 10 years without an SECC than I can promise you he'll be on the hot seat.

And WTF are doing trolling UGA and CKS anyway? He's 1-3 vs CKS and 2-5 vs UGA with a miracle fluke win. What's his record vs LSU?Bama?

We own yer arse and the only thing you can talk about is our games with Bama?Have things sunk so low as an Aubbie fan that the only thing you do is dick ride Bama?

Ya really think we'd want to trade CKS for Gus?

We would be, but it was a different coaching staff and none of those players are still on the team. Auburn, on the other hand....

Well, we just don't hand out extensions to coaches who average 5 losses a year. okokokok. You got me. 4 1/2 losses a year.
