Dr. James Andrews is one of the best in the business, very fortunate to have him on the case.
Shout out to the LSU medical dept for getting her out of the arena quickly and safely.

Andrews is one of the premier surgeons for that type of injury. Best of wishes to that young lady. A terrible injury to sustain.

This is the first of these threads I've clicked on just out of fear that there was pics or videos of the incident.
Glad she's doing ok and hopefully recovers without any probs.

As lousy as all of that is, it sounds like the news may be s little better than originally reported?
As someone who recently experienced the joy of a tib/fib fracture (rod inserted) to go along with ankle reconstruction (metal pins), I can say that nerve blocker/home medication infusion pump will be her BFF for a bit.
Thank you for the update; I’m sure many of us will continue prayers for healing.

Thankful that Auburn has a great relationship with Dr. Andrews. He is the best in the business. Also did Okeke’s surgery last week.

What happened to cause her to break both legs? I wish her a full and speedy recovery.

You always hate to see an injury like that. I hope she makes a good recovery.

From what I read, it was from a “blind landing” attempt. I don’t know much about the sport, but I think she just landed with a lot of force, and her legs just couldn’t handle it. Gruesome injury. Hate to see something like that.

I watched it once, which is more then enough thank you, and from what I can tell she didn't land squarely on her feet during a flip. Her feet went out from under her which meant all her rotational force and weight went straight to her knees at an angle I don't care to think about. A terrible fluke injury on a move I am sure she's done hundreds of times.

Ouch. I didn’t see the video, but I can visualize what happened.

You think a 77 year old man is still doing surgery?

I wonder if he'll do it in B'ham or Pensacola.
