Any insights or thoughts on what his plans for next year are? I assume he will declare, but will he hire an agent and close the books on his time as an AU tiger or go the same route as last year? Any chance he comes back for one last run?

Jared has no reason to seek an NBA evaluation. They are never going to draft him. His height prevents it.
Does not mean he can’t make a team and succeed. But it’s gonna be as a free agent.
He just has to decide if he likes playing one more year at Auburn. It won’t change his draft stock.
I will miss him and he is one of my all time favorite players either way.
Love the little general.

Does he have his degree?
I believe he will play 10 or 12 years of pro basketball, but most of it will be overseas.
When he finishes his playing career, JH may be someone to look at as a coach.

I agree he probably can’t improve his draft stock by coming back. But he could play SEC player of year, all American, and a Natty run. Those aren’t nothing.

You could not be more wrong. He has no reason to not seek a NBA evaluation just like he did last year. It doesn't cost anything.
That being said, he's doubtfull to ever be draft. So he should be back next year.

There is a reason the G league exist now, but he probably ends up coming back.
Isaiah Thomas is a good comparison for his route to the nba

He can go overseas and make some good money. Hope he stays his senior year.

We have a family friend who's son played in Spain for about 10 years and made a lot of money. It's definitely not as glamorous as the NBA, but I'd take living in Madrid for a decade making good money playing basketball over living somewhere like Milwaukee for a little more money. I think he was making around $1MM for the last couple years. The top salaries over there are usually in the $2-3MM range, with some making upwards of $4MM.
He came back and got a job here, but he can probably go ahead and retire any time he wants to.

He should get evaluated, he needs to come back and continue working on his driving skills. If he came back next year and got his numbers up even more, I could see him going real late like Isaiah Thomas jr did.

I would love to see him come back for one more year, the dude is fun to watch.

I’ve been saying.. if he focuses on his floater all offseason, he can be an All-American/SECPOY candidate. He’s just got to find a way to finish around the rim to take another step forward. He’s already awesome though

I may be wrong but I'm thinking he can only enter the draft to be get an evaluation once without losing his eligibility. He did that last year so if I am right then if he did it again he wouldn't be eligible to play college ball any more. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on the numbers.

I think you can enter twice.

You can remove yourself twice. So everyone should go after their sophomore and junior years.

IT had unparalleled quickness and was a great shooter before his hip injury. Doubt Jared comes anywhere near that.

Harper is a better shooter than IT was in college and they have the same mentality/work ethic. IT has always finished at the rim better, though.
