Real talk on Wade and Smart going forward in the tournament.

State your opinion. No bullshite...no trolling.
That conversations on the wiretap phone conversations are pretty serious and I would imagine the LSU Compliance Office is going to make some pretty unpopular decisions.
IMHO, Wade will never coach again at LSU. It would not shock me at this moment his lawyer and agent are working on a buyout.
IMHO, Smart will be sitting out...will not play in the SEC or NCAAs.

Agreed. With LSU suspending Wade and benching Smart they are trying to get out ahead of the situation as best they can at this point.
Having said that, they could still make a deep run including a trip to the finals. I don’t think they’ll top UT/UK there though without what they have lost recently.

LSU fans will storm the admin building and show Venezuela how to take over a governing body and install real leadship that will put actual $$$$$$$ into the athletic department.
Alleva will be allowed to leave with his tail between his legs, but FKing will have to escape Mike's habitat.
Dr. Oneal will be brought in to lead LSU with Associate Assitant AD's of Ryan Clark, Brandon Bass, Wayne Simms, Alan Faneca, and likely Andrew Whitworth.

But honestly, if Wade refused the meeting because of the trial in April, and that's why he was suspended... I don't see a resolution until after the trial. One way or the other.
Same thing applies to Smart- if you hold him out "with an abundance of caution" (question- WTF does that mean, anyway???), what changes to allow him to play? Wade's word that he didn't cheat?- that sounds like April at the earliest. Smart's own word? Didn't mean shite this past weekend, why would it change in a week?
Sadly, I think there's more chance that LSU chooses to not play in the NCAA, than there is for them to reinstate Wade or Smart.
And frick my alma mater for doing that. At least wait for the NCAA to hammer us, don't go preemptively destroying the only good season in a decade.

Real talk? I say LSU should play it out with Wade and Smart. If nothing comes of it you get the wins you earned. If they ding them and vacate at least the fans that did nothing wrong enjoyed the ride. The only arguments against doing it is because the NCAA may be harder on them if they do or the label of cheater sticks a little more. No matter how light the NCAA ding might be it will still hurt the program for years so enjoy the shot you have now. As far as the cheater label goes everyone knows it is widespread so it really is just troll bait.

LSU has nothing to lose at this point by letting them coach/play. There is no hard evidence of money being offered/exchanged (yet). If the evidence does come out then the season will be vacated anyways so sitting them for the tournaments won’t save LSU. Just gotta ride it out.
