It’s cheaper to pay him off to get the hell out of Baton Rouge then it would be to fight him on the remainder of his contract. Louisville lucked out when Pitino name was involved with the latest trial...they actually had evidence of cause with the actual dollar amount for Bowman.

Well that is an interesting change of opinion.

Lulz, LSU fans better realize the NCAA is not a court of law. All they need is confirmed transcripts of conversations.

Wade is toast. Just like Self and Miller. Louisville is hoping the self imposed sanctions will soften the blow on top of the stripper gate.

Saturday Miller gave a heart wrenching rendition of the honor it has been to coach at AZ, tear jerking actually. Their fans in attendance had to think it was his final farewell speech showing appreciation for his time coaching there.

You are so desperate to bury LSU that you missed your own inference the evidence against Will Wade doesn’t exist.

You want to add something to the conversation, or are you going to troll?

You know there is a reason why Wade still has not met with the administration. He knows he is in shite creek..his lawyer knows he is in shite creek...if he meets and has to answer about the latest allegations truthfully, he knows he is not getting a dime (cause).

Wade and his lawyer are digging their heels in hoping that there is some settlement for him to go away.

Some of us rival fans have seen through F. King Alexander's annual soapbox speeches bellowing out how broke LSU is. We know his threats of cancelling summer classes/cutting faculty & staff/cutting departments and majors are nothing but posturing to LA government so they won's cut funding.

LSU fans have preached for yrs that Athletics is rolling in $$.

I'd rather bring John Brady out of retirement.

LSU acted very promptly the leak hit the media and they ran with it last Thursday - they suspended CWW in 24 hrs. I'm sure a ton of folks (from all sides) have been burning the midnight oil all through the weekend to try to get a handle in this mess.

It's not unreasonable to think CWW has actually already met with the LSU Admin (with his attorney present) to basically inform them that he can't discuss the particulars of the case.

I think they end up playing Smart in the tournament, but Wade has put them in a terrible situation.

Showing faith in the player, but punishing the coach is just the easiest way forward-- whether merited or not.

You can't look like you are coddling someone who is both insubordinate and under a cloud of allegations, whereas you can spin backing the player as 'We believe in our student athletes', and make the NCAA the bad guy, as people have sympathy for 'unpaid' players.

You embrace someone who may end up having orchestrated a probation? That's tough sledding for any athletic program.

Oh, and if football doesn't produce, the AD is going to be eased out in a year or two, for putting LSU in this position. When you give an ultimatum to a guy who may have taken your program down a dark road, and he gives you the finger, your authority is permanently damaged.
