Gonzaga will take the #1 spot. Will we hear all about how they haven’t played a ranked team in 2+ months?

If Williamson is out for an extended period of time, it will likely affect their seeding.

It’s not an apples to apples comparison.

If Zion is badly hurt, is Duke a top 5 team without him? It seems unfair to punish a team's ranking because he got hurt but if something happens that makes the team worse...

They’ll claim no because it happened without Zion.

But come selection committee time they’ll not look twice at all the players SC was missing at the beginning of the season when we took the tough losses while playing the toughest OOC schedule.

They may drop Duke two spots depending upon how bad Zion’s injury turns out to be.

They will have no presence in the paint. Freaking Luke May is killing them tonight without Zion.

I think it has to be body of work. Seeding shouldn’t be a ranking in my opinion. That’s why I think SC probably shouldn’t make the tournament outside a conference tourney championship.

Zion should just pack it in.
He’s done enough he’ll be the #1 pick.
He has nothing else to prove

Duke may not drop at all. They are the ND of basketball.

But Duke at least has a better claim to media obsequiousness. Now I’m going to go throw up.

Duke may drop to #3 only because Not Carolina will jump to #2.

To be fair, they've beaten Virginia twice, once without a point guard. UT lost by 18 to the first ranked team they faced in over two months.

The voters see it as Pretenders vs Contenders . Duke always gets the benefit of the doubt.
