Auburn v Georgia in late Sept/ early Oct? I’ll drink to that.

Tennessee is the one getting screwed here. So that’s cool.

Moving this game to basketball season is a good idea for VOLS. Most VOLS fans will be focused on basketball by the UGA/VOLS game every year now.

Only in the minds of the haters. Remember the NCAA congratulating Auburn on how they handled the Cam Case ?

it really boggles the mind.

I would like to try this......for the next five years, let's swap schedules with UGA. The leghumpers are like the FSU teams of the 80's and early 90's. They play two games a year....one early and one late.

Well, worm eaters, we've played Alabama schools a lot lately. And absolutely own one of them.

It's only a strain on Auburn. Everyone keeps asking why uga and the SEC would consider doing it...the answer is the potential dollars made off late season division defacto play in SEC title games.

The bama game was promised season 1 for obvious reasons...bama at your place has more value than any other team in the SEC.

I love how UGA fans ignore the last century.

Agreed both LSU and Auburn have benefitted from November battles with bama in the last decade. The current TV deals are based off the ROI's on those games...look at the viewership numbers for a game like the 2013 Iron Bowl or the 2011 LSU/bama game vs normal SEC games. uga/UTk if they can compete for the east in the same season now provides that possibility year in and year out.

uga fans have to ask why would our leadership do this? The simple answer is it will benefit them long term.

All schools have to ask why would they sign off on this? Because high ROI games benefit everyone in the league.

Only this century matters according to Cobb Dawg. Which still puts UG behind AU.

Schedule the DSOR on TSIO with UA/UT, a double header would ROCK!

Wby do you keep saying this? And if it's bout the "ROI" (LOL)look at the AU/UGA ratings in '13 or '17...kinda blows up your point.

What? Absolutely makes zero sense if we play em earlier or in November. Our game with UT has been the CBS games multiple times if both teams are relevant the "ROI" wouldn't make a difference no matter what the date.

Tigerman97’s pushing the financial angle. I personally don’t see how changing the DSOR will financially benefit any team. But there had to be more behind this deal than meets the eye.

Feels wrong to move it. Changes the entire complexion of the season in the SEC.

I think we can all agree UGA is fricking terrible. Can't even win a title in their mini dynasty.
