Someone posted a thread about our baseball stadium a week or so ago, so here is an update.

quote:

On a picture-perfect day for baseball — sunny, breezy and warm — the University of Florida broke ground on a new $65-million baseball stadium Friday. The new stadium will be ready for play at the start of the 2021 season.

It will feature a 360-degree open concourse, shade structures for fans, grass berms and non-traditional seating that will allow for capacity of more than 7,000, chairback permanent seating, high-definition video and sound, enhanced concession space and food options and prominent entry gates.

There also will be modern student-athlete and staff amenities, including a private nutrition area and team lounge, film/meeting room and expanded locker room, indoor pitching and batting cages and enhanced training and rehabilitation area.

That’s awesome—I’m excited for y’all!
New facilities are big fun.
And new baseball facilities are sexy as heck.
Looking forward to watching the progression!

It's cute that y'all try to keep up with the big boys of baseball stadiums. In all seriousness, it's always good to see other SEC schools step up their baseball facilities.

What’s the capacity going to be, 1000-1500?

Bout time. Florida’s current baseball stadium is awful. Looks like a softball stadium

It’s about time.

Where are they building it? They have so little available space.

Looks pretty similar to the Birmingham minor league stadium, especially down the 3rd base line.

Looks very nice. The color scheme is a bit ugly though.

Stricklin is really good at getting these projects taken care of. Should be a top class facility

UF Baseball's main problem with attendance is the fact that it's too damn hot for day games in the current park. Mid 90s and surrounded by aluminum bleachers does not make for a pleasant afternoon
