How different do you think Georgia would be right now if they had hired Dabo Swinney instead of Kirby Smart?
Would anyone stop Dabo? Kirby is as bad of a hire as you could have possibly had because he has the illusion of being an elite coach while clearly not being in the same category as actual elite coaches.
Dabo went 7-7, 9-5, and 6-7 in his first three years and didn't win an ACC title until year 4. I bet at the time you probably thought Dabo was a bad hire as well. I know that it is a wild concept, but people get better at what they do the longer they do it.

That’s a nice compliment
Not many active coaches have made a natty and beaten Saban. I think it’s fair to say Gus is decent. You could do a lot better, but also a lot worse. I’m also surprised that the only actual response I got was from straws. A lot of the UGA fans call him a troll, but he’s the only one with real talking points.

Zook,Muschamp and Mac.
BTW 66-20...that's the combined score of your man/God coach and his defensive whiz kid vs Kirby the last 2 years.
But keep pounding that chest about your "coaching advantage"

This is a throw-away thread about 1980. Welcome to the off season SECr

Kirby Smart took over the 6th most talented team in the country and went 8 - 5. That's the difference.
Clemson is/was a hard place to be an elite coach, significantly harder than Georgia. Again, if Kirby took Clemson and Dabo took Georgia, Georgia may never lose a game because he is a good x's and o's coach.
Almost anyone can do what Kirby has done -- take a very talented team with abundant resources and come up short.
Like Mark Richt.

Because he has top three talent, literally, Georgia is the 3rd most talented team in the goddamn country, man
Because of Kirby.

That games like Texas don't happen?
Saban has had this happen twice, both times in the Sugar Bowl. Once against Utah and once against Oklahoma. Alabama was light years better than both of those teams but they had higher goals and didn't reach them and as a result, those teams didn't give a shite about the consolation prize game. Kirby isn't Saban, but the same logic applies.

Two five star QB transfers
It's 2019. 5 star QBs who don't have an immediate path to starting are going to transfer. That's not an excuse, that's just how college football works now.

Kirby's got a silver spoon in his mouth and almost nothing to show for it, and that's why he gets so much shite.
An SEC title, a playoff win over the Heisman trophy winner, a national title game appearance, and a fourth quarter collapse from another playoff appearance is nothing to sneeze at. People act like he has the same accomplishments as Jim Donnan. Mullen would give his left nut to have the same level of success in his first three seasons at Florida.

Horrific losses like LSU where a star-laden defense gives up 275 yards on the ground?
They played soft and terrible. No defending that one.
IMO, Kirby is too much of a control freak with the offense. He won't get a top notch OC because he doesn't want to give anyone full autonomy yet, for some reason. Because of this, we've seen Georgia take their foot off the gas twice against Alabama and lose two score leads because of it. That's my only real criticism of him after three seasons.
Dabo didn't take off at Clemson until he hired Chad Morris and gave him full control of the offense.

How many times are you going to post this horseshite?
Once again with your idiot " blue chip" ratio. How many UGA players were seniors? How many got drafted off the team?A grand total of ONE...a SIXTH rounder.
Using YOUR formula Missouri was the 42nd best team in 2018,Kentucky 32nd,Florida 12th and FSU 5TH... absolutely assinine but keep spewing this idiocy 5 times a day and maybe you'll eventually believe it.

2018 Florida was more talented than 2015 UGa.

That's why Kirby is the only coach, outside of Saban and Dabo, to win a playoff game since he took over as head coach. So no, it doesn't seem like anyone can do it.

They really weren't. UF just had a better coach. Team went 4-8 before Mullen.

I’ll never understand people using the fact that Kirby is an elite recruiter as some type of knock against him.
It would be like saying John is a terrible sales rep, it’s just masked by all the big accounts he closes.
Ignorance rises from the swamp.

Big year coming for Kirby. His 1st year to have to replacr key members of his staff. The talent is already ready to go. Is the coaching staff ready to take advantage? We'll see. A little adversity is a good thing if you want to see what the real deal is for your team.

It's more like having a big dick but you can't get it up when it matters.
It doesn't matter how big it is if you can't use it, and it doesn't matter if you have a 70% Blue Chip ratio if you can't win the most important games of the season.

Discuss.
What is Florida's infatuation with UGA this offseason? Is it because you finished the season with a dominant win vs Michigan?

that doesn't make any sense given Clemson is almost in Georgia.

Boyd taking the starting job coincided with Morris becoming the OC in 2011. Morris put in an offense that fit his skillset.

I'm pretty sure any halfway decent OC would have done well with Boyd and those WRs.
i think Morris was the reason Clemson lost two of the games with SC.

It actually does matter.
The poll reflects where teams are at the end of the season.
Florida came off of two blowout wins to end the season, one over a pretty bad FSU team but still on the road.
The other a top ten Michigan team.
Meanwhile, Georgia choked in front of everyone and proceeded to let Texas manhandle that arse and take their dignity to end the season.
