Anyone heard how Ishmael Sopsher has been doing? I haven't heard that much about him and how he's responding to the college game. I know we all have high hopes! Anyone heard anything? Just curious.

"We need a Rivals subscriber to paraphrase this."

Plans to sign in February.

Really talked up LSU.

Said LSU is pushing harder than Alabama.

Watched ONLY LSU games, no Bama games.

Official Visit to Bama is for the Arkansas game.

50-50 chance he will sign with LSU.

Probably because LSU fanboy Sam Spiegelman did the interview and wrote the article.

If All that is true, why Is he still wasting his and ours time with his recruitment?
You are already committed so end it already. No need for Morse code.

Aha,But I have a feeling it's smoke for the Corndogs ala almost all our LA recruits.

It's a given that Boutte would talk up LSU and their offense since LSU is off to a strong start. But for all we know, Boutte could've talked up Bama some too that Spiegelman didn't include. LSU "pushing harder" may mean little more than Orgeron is texting him daily vs Golding texting him every 2-3 days. Maybe his schedule has kept him from watching any Bama games so far. But if he hasn't wanted to, that wouldn't bode well for him truly being 50/50. He'll probably watch the Bama vs LSU game though.

I made an undeniable fact that was in response to Saint. No one has a Johnson in their mouth, I don’t know where that came from.

I love seeing Clemson with all of those five stars from all over the country. Get ready for transfers and headaches w/n a few seasons, esp. with Dabo's country club atmosphere. Fulmer had his same decline for the same reasons.

The video in this link allegedly shows George Pickens assaulting a mentally handicapped kid while he was in high school last year

It's a link to Twitter.

If it's really him and the story is true, then I'm glad we never pushed for him.

ETA: The Twitter account that tweeted this is known to be a parody account so this may be a bunch of bullshite. However, that's a pretty damning accusation, even for them. I can't see this being "good" for anyone moving forward.

Interesting nuggets on Kayshon Boutte in the thread about him on the LSURb:

quote:

Maybe just posturing or some sort of leverage, but I have been told his mother has indicated he wants to go to Bama, and I have roots in NI

I no longer let recruiting affect me, just try to keep up with names and positions, so just passing that along in case someone cares.

It was firsthand info

quote:

Been told this also, don't be surprised if this kid flips and if we keep all the other WR commits then no big deal. Know one knows at this time the future and his ceiling, Boutte is wanted and coveted as an LSU recruit but if he choses BAMA then let him go.

I hope this is true. As I said yesterday, I like Boutte the most out of any WR left on our board. Hell, I like him better than the WRs we already have committed. He reminds me of Jaylen Waddle.

Take Two: Will it be Alabama or LSU for five-star Rakim Jarrett? (Rivals)

quote:

THE STORYLINE

Rakim Jarrett has been committed to LSU since late April and the Tigers’ offense is playing phenomenally well this season, but a recent tweet by the five-star receiver perked up a lot of interest in recent days.

That’s because the Washington (D.C.) St. John’s standout and third-best receiver in the class has scheduled an official visit to Alabama later this month when the Crimson Tide host Arkansas.

Alabama has arguably the best receiving corps in the country led by Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith and Henry Ruggs, three fast and elusive players much like Jarrett. Even more compelling is that the Crimson Tide could be losing those guys to the NFL soon.

That could mean immediate playing time for Jarrett even if Alabama has an impressive haul of wide receivers coming in the 2020 class with commitments from four-stars Thaiu Jones-Bell, Javon Baker and Traeshon Holden along with a recent commitment from high four-star QB Bryce Young, who flipped from USC.

When Alabama pushes for a prospect, the Crimson Tide can make a compelling case. But LSU’s offense is playing perhaps better than any in the country right now. Maryland, Tennessee and possibly others are trying to keep pace as well.

Does Jarrett stick with LSU or is Alabama a legitimate threat to flip the five-star receiver?

quote:

FIRST TAKE: ANDREW BONE, BAMAINSIDER.COM

“There is legit interest there. Alabama has the best wide receiver corps in the country right now and there’s a good chance they’re going to lose all three of those guys. They have a really good wide receiver class right now, but they’re still trying to add one more guy to the mix.

“Alabama went and saw Jarrett play a few weeks ago and they’ve been really impressed with what they’ve seen so far this season. They’ve really stepped up their recruiting efforts with him and Alabama has done a tremendous job recruiting the whole DMV area over the last several years. They have a chance to potentially flip him. He’s going to visit and they’ll see where things stand after that visit. Just getting him on campus is a big deal and he’s someone Alabama is going to be pushing for.”

quote:

SECOND TAKE: MIKE FARRELL, RIVALS.COM

“Alabama has a shot. Alabama always has a shot. You look at how well the LSU offense is playing, but Alabama’s offense is playing equally well and the receivers they have are amazing. They’re going to lose a few of those guys early to the NFL so there’s an opportunity to come and play early and they’ve shown they will play kids early.

“Again, I wouldn’t count out Maryland just because of the situation close to home. Right now, I would lean toward LSU keeping him, but Alabama is always dangerous.”
