SEC fans that can still brag about last National Championship...

ALABAMA - obviously, yes. The gold standard.
AUBURN - yes, as much as I don't enjoy typing it. Still have some wiggle room
LSU - yes, the fact that there are 3 in the last 16 years still allows for some wiggle room, but LSU will need to win another one sooner rather than later.
FLORIDA- Same as LSU. 2 since 2006. You have permission to continue bowing your chest out. Like LSU, however, Florida needs to win one sooner rather than later before it starts wearing thin.
Tennessee - It's quickly getting weird and pathetic. Time flies and it may not seem like it, but 1998 was a long time ago I promise. Still clinging to something that happened before many of your starters were born, and before any of your recruits were born. Just reinforces the stereotype that Tennessee fans currently are in football hell and have been for a while now.
Georgia - No way, that would just be neurotic. Dawg fans haven't done this since the late 80s and early 90s.
Arkansas - Sure, why not. It's Arkansas.
Ole Miss - same as Arkansas. Desegregation is overrated.
All other teams - N/A

You're probably right, but he goes on to mention we need another soon, so I'm not sure. I was figuring he gave us your 2011 trophy.

It would've been quite the conundrum for LSU fans if they had still finished #1 in the AP considering how they don't recognize their split title with USC in 03.

This is totally true.
The gap between Bryant's last title at Bama (1979) and Stallings (1992) was 13 years.
The gap between Stallings (1992) and Saban's first (2009) was 17 years.
We've now hit the 21 year mark for 1998 just for reference.
