He’ll end up being Leonard Hamilton Lite. Good recruiter but not able to win consistently with them.
He’s also tried to play up Calipari not adding Memphis to the schedule as him being “scared”. Like we don’t play UNC, Duke, Michigan State, Louisville, Kansas, etc. consistently in the OOC.

This kind of bs is why the series was cancelled for so long. It doesn't matter the coach or the sport, Memphis always brings drama with them. I get that he's trying to ignite an in-state rivalry but he's coming across as a complete tool.

Penny is a strange case. I don't really get the beef with Barnes. I don't think anyone has ever had beef with Barnes.
Penny begging Kentucky for a head to head makes sense for Penny, he's trying to get his AAC team some exposure. At least I think they're AAC? I honestly don't even know. What I do know is theres absolutely nothing in it for Kentucky or Cal.

Doesn’t have much talent this year but the returns aren’t promising on him as a coach if you watch his team play. It is a horrendous brand of basketball.
No real reason for Tennessee to continue playing that series long term if we’re being honest.
