I feel like most of it does. I am disappointed in the game plan we brought into this game. The redzone play calling was an embarrassment, Idk what the plan on def was at all beside get as little pressure on the qb as possible and hang our def out to dry(what happened to all those exotice blitz on 3rd down), and the fake fg which to me is the handing over the trophy to Clemson call.

I'm not sure the percentage but it was the worst coached game of Saban's tenure at Alabama. Taking 3 TOs to the Locker Room before the half set the tone for the second half. It was effectively waving the white flag.

But there's a long list of coaching mistakes.
- Putting D. Harris in at the goal line instead of Jacobs
- Fake FG
- Redzone playcalling
- 3rd & 4th Down Playcalling
- Not working any ref to get a call

Saban looked shellshocked last night.

Where does the team's motivation come from? Does it come individually? Each player creates his own motivation.

Or is it a cumulative emotion, where the team has motivation?

In either case, who is responsible for it?
Regardless, it's motivation what Bama had little to none.

And that is where I'd place the bulk of the blame.

100% of the blame goes to the coaches, but not all in this game.

Both the offense and the defense regressed during the year and the coaches had no answer.

Saban was in a tough spot having to promote Tosh or lose him. Kirby is recruiting so well that he didn't have much of a choice.

We gifted them a pick TD and pissed away 25 points on four drives where we reached 1st and goal but only scored 3 points total. 7 + 25 = 32. We lost by 28. And we threw a pick in the red zone on another drive. We could've (should've) won that game.

I was very disappointed in our defensive plan and calls. Venables did a great job with the variety of disguised blitzes. We were very vanilla, rushing 3 most of the time and showing our blitzes when we did call them. We made it easy for Clemson's offense. Our goal-to-go offensive play calling was very bad.

This loss was not like the final score. And it falls much more on a poor job of in-game coaching than on the players or anything else, imo.

We showed Clemson no new wrinkles...what they saw on our game film was what they got...

Clemson showed us new wrinkles on both sides of the ball, especially with their defense...thus what we saw on film was not exactly what we saw in the game last night...

The fake FG call is one of the worst calls ever. Hell, with our kicking game, Clemson was watching for a fake on our PAT attempts. Just terrible.

All losses are always 100% on the coaching staff, in particular, the head coach. Coach Saban knows he owns this one. Nobody is perfect, Dabo beat his arse last night and more importantly the week leading up to in preparation and game planning. He will learn and move forward and be a better coach next year.

1. Pick 6 on Tua. Even he said so.
2. Offensive play calling seemed fine. Shredded them between the 20s like we were supposed to.
3. Needed to go with Jacobs more. He was the hot hand and they didn’t have an answer for him.
4. Damien Harris has to be able to muscle his way in from the 1. He got multiple attempts.
5. Same for Najee
6. Fake FG was foolish. Had Fletcher made any attempt at blocking the tackler, and had we instead just done a direct pitch to the kicker, he has a lane to at least make a legitimate go of 6 yards. Watch it again.
7. Jeudy didn’t sprint on the 2nd pick. If he does he probably draws PI. Possibly catches it for a TD. We’ll never know.
8. Ross beat our secondary straight up. That’s on the players. Saban can’t cover the WRs for them.
9. Should’ve had more of a rotation to keep DL fresh and generate pass rush. Depth was a glaring issue as we were gassed relatively early in the game.
10. Coaching turnover is a real issue that hurts programs. Our talent is better than most and hides this. If Clemson experiences even half the coordinator changes, I don’t think they’re even in the playoffs every year like us. But that’s a hypothetical because they haven’t. So it is what it is.

Personnel and play calling is on coaches.
Execution is on players.
Saban will take the blame because that’s his job, but as a program, we failed miserably.

Change my mind.
