Players, coaches, half of the fan base not giving a shite about a bowl unless we make the playoffs?
If it is then we better make the playoff every fricking year from now on.

I don’t know but with the youngest 2 deep in the country, I consider the Sugar Bowl an absolute honor - and I would hope the staff & team would two.

We deserve all the hate and embarrassment but It’s not just a UGA thing. It’s why Baker, Grier, Bosa, etc are all sitting out.... Kids overall are spoiled. Once they taste the playoffs like a lot of our team did last year, it takes a special coach to overcome that disappointment. And Kirby failed big time.

Bama lost the last 2 Sugar Bowls they played in when it wasn't the playoffs. So, I guess you could say we're in good company

Hell no! I didn’t say Smart was another Richt. I said next season would tell the tale. If he doesn’t make the playoffs then it’s looking darn likely. The jury is still out. This was a Mark Richt level bed wetting, and so was LSU.

I see it as a trend, yes, at least for the teams that were close to a playoff berth and didn’t make it. Auburn did it last year and with more and more star players quitting to save themselves for the NFL, the quality of games being played will go down, too, further contributing to the other players not being motivated to show out.
Bowl games have sucked for a while with teams that have losing records or 6-win seasons getting to play in the Summers Eve Bowl. The playoffs have made it worse because now only the semi-final bowl games really matter. The prestigious bowls aren’t as lustrous when they aren’t hosting a playoff game. The players don’t care about the history; they just want championships and bowl games that don’t have the playoff logo associated with it don’t mean anything to them. It’s why the stars are willing to sit out.
TLDR; kids don’t care about bowls unless they have something to prove and we didn’t tonight.

Just to satisfy the orphan dweller... I went to UGA for 2 years... graduated from Wofford... now... family ties connected to such changes... Hitler (yourself) couldn’t understand... I chose to fight a battle on one front as compared to you who can’t make his mind up from the next HGMF or harassing the phish (you see that Rig) Phish... whore from the flee market... geeez o golly shucks... go eat sausage and onions you fricking goon.
