As an unbiased football fan, I think Bama could have won by 40

Saban only allowed Tua to throw like 24 times. Bama went into conservative mode because he new it was safe. OU scored on ever posession in the 2nd half and never got close.

Last night was kind of like when a father lets his son beat him in arm wrestling. Saban was playing with his food and indulging the Okietards.

Bama got complacent and played sloppy after the first quarter. This is why Saban yells at players up 28 points. Fortunately, the game was never really in doubt anyway thanks to OU’s atrocious defense.

If Bama doesn’t shite the bed at the end of the half and go up 35-7 to end the half I think that would have been the nail in the coffin. Oklahoma had lost their collective cool after getting embarrassed for almost 2 full qtr.

They really did. I’m shocked there weren’t more flags at that point.
I haven’t reviewed the plays but I’d be interested in how many pass attempts Tua had on scoring vs not scoring (% wise)

Nobody with an ax to grind will ever acknowledge how the game was never in doubt and Saban put the team on cruise control.
LSU's goose-egg was actually a more competitive game. It wasn't over in the first 10 minutes, like this game.

It seemed like we played with both Hurts and Tua on the field for the majority of the second quarter. We were basically fricking around and trying shite to see what would happen.

I pretty much agree. When he got up 28 and allowed the quick 7. You could sense there was a loss of focus. Nolan Richardson would sense that in his really good teams and during a whistle yanked all 5 out, run in 5 eager to play and chew their butts for a second. Then, ignore them. An attention getter. Saban could trot out backups and still control play more than likely. Some kids need a reality check.

So they still only won by 11?

And took a knee on their 10 to end it.

Good to have a fair and reasonable view.
Thank you.

Thank you.

Good grief! How many snaps did bid Bama have their starting QB lined up at WR? He should have been resting on the sideline. Bama was basically playing 10 against 11 at that point.

I think they won by 11.

If they'd just let Tua throw the ball every down, it would have been straight up nasty. OU's secondary is simply terrible

This only matters if mercy knees don't.

Tua only threw 10 passes in the second half and completed 9. The other was overturned on the sideline, and should have been interference.
For the game, 3 incomplete and 4 TD's, to 4 different receivers.

Saban took his foot off the gas for sure.

Tua has more TD passes than incompletions.
Think about that. Had Saban left his foot on the gas, they could have scored 60+.
He decided to run to let the defense rest.
