Bear,
The only reason your conference plays 9 games (instead of the 8 it used to play), was because a bunch of teams got tired of the sucktitude of the Big 12 and wanted out. Talking shite about having 9 conference games when you had to do it because no other decent teams wanted to join your conference is idiotic at best.
Congrats on continuing to suck at the horn teet, praying the inevitable doesn't happen that they drop you like a bad habit upon moving to the PAC 12 or B1G. You will forever live in rape-happy, player murdering, middle of the pack educational, shite-hole town obscurity until you slowly fade away into the likes of Rice or Abilene Christian. Have fun and enjoy the ride back down: You, your school, and your fan base deserve every second of it.
Sincerely yours,
Go frick yourself

Sagarin (or rather, his algorithms) rates SOS as follows:
1) UCLA
2) Tenn
3) Pitt
4) TAMU
5) LSU
6) UGA
7) Purdue
8) Mich State
9) Northwestern
10) FSU
11) Maryland
12) Louisville
13) Texas
4 SEC teams before the first B12 team made the list.
LINK
He also ranks the SECW and SECE as the two strongest divisions in football.
the B12 scores closer to the worst P5 division than the SECW.

I agree the Big 12 should have held their ground and stay to the round robin format.
Yes...who wants extra revenue and a better shot at making the FBS Playoff? Just do whatever your daddy Texas says, and it will be ok. That kind of thinking is what drove teams away from your dying conference in the first place.

SOS cannot be compared when conferences do not play on equal field

I’m pretty sure when the BIg 12 ACTUALLY had 12 teams, we didn’t play every team. 5 divisional opponents plus alternating 3 cross-divisional opponents every two years = 8 conference games for a 12 team conference. Not much different from the current SEC setup. The mere fact that teams wanted out of the BDF makes it a shitty conference and there is nothing you can say that will change it. Lol

So this all comes down to money? Exactly my point

Yeah... that conference game is why the SEC is winning all these championships insteadnofnthe Big 12
Not Beating OU in 2003, 2009 and 2017 or Texas in 2009.
Or the Big 12 being 0-2 in the CFP.

You have a complete round-robin format. Technically, your CG is meaningless.

Did I mention money? No. But since you brought it up - ALL of college football comes down to money. Every team in every league tries to make as much as they can. Just because Baylor is not any good at it doesn’t mean the rest of us should be too.

SEC IS WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS = WHY YOU GUYS GET TROLLED VERY HARD
teams win not conferences
teams win not conferences

WTF does Baylor know about championships? Probably about as much as MSU.

4 of the 6 original SEC East teams have PERMANENT ACC in-state opponents on Thanksgiving weekend. A 9th conference game would create 10 PERMANENT opponents for this not-insignificant portion of the conference and force them to choose between (1)abandoning their historic rival or (2) the ability to have any scheduling flexibility.
Your desire to nationalize the sport for dubious reasons of fairness do not trump our interest in preserving things we deem valuable, monetarily or otherwise. This isn't difficult.

You're so god damn retarded it's mind numbing.
If the SEC played an extra conference game the SOS would only GO UP.
Again, let's keep in mind your entire SOS argument here is the SEC BENEFITS by playing an extra bad team over an extra conference game, do you see how that makes zero fricking sense?

The sagarin rankings are not based on pure W-L of opponents. They are based on the ratings of the opponents.
I don’t know how many different data points you’re going to need before you conclude that and SEC team playing 8 conference games + 4 OOC is generally a harder schedule than what you play, and I don’t intend to find out.

My theory is based on lopsided rankings in the Top 25; not freaking SOS

You don’t have a theory. Let’s be clear.

You guys really don’t get it lol

Before you puff out your chest about beating Vandy, keep in mind the only SEC wins they had were over teams that didn’t make a bowl. In other words, you beat up the special needs kid and now your bragging about it. Sad.

Lopsided rankings and artificially higher win totals propels SEC teams to seem stronger than they appear...

Y’all are pretty triggered by an SEC team getting beat
