Is Hurts better than Dak

Just watching the Cowboys vs Eagles game and reflecting back on Daks career at the college level. Imo Hurts is better than Dak was at the college level. Would Hurts in the right situation be a decent qb in the nfl?

Dak was a pretty good passer in college

Dak was in an offense for 4 years that suited his strengths as a passer and runner with a coach that designed around him. Jalen regressed so much in his sophomore year, under an OC who I think had a good scheme, but clearly wanted Tua to start and thus it promoted that super conservative style from Jalen to try and keep his job.
I think that with Mullen, Jalen would probably be considered a better player than Dak.

They're pretty comparable. Dak was a mediocre passer until his junior year and then elevated himself as a senior.

With the exception of his last half-quarter, no. Absolutely not.
But Hurts obviously is continuing to improve, and I'm not going to tell him what his ceiling is. Hurts is Legend.

Going by their junior seasons it's probably a even matchup. Hurts has noticeably improved as a passer this yr. And he's a better runner than Dak ever was....

Guys come on....Jalens gotten better it looks like but hes still inept at a lot of things as a qb. I love the kid but he completes 3 or 4 passes and now hes better than a good NFL qb ?

The comparison is Jalen vs COLLEGE Dak. I don’t think you’ll find anyone saying he’s better than Dak right now

He will be with another season under Enos as QB coach

Is this thread for real? Lol the UGA game was incredible when they weren’t prepared for him. don’t forget the 1-dimensional offense we suffered through the last 2 seasons. 26-2 was more about the greatness of all the 5-Stars at every position around Hurts.

I assumed the OP was asking about comparing them as college players, not Jalen now to Dak now.

Dak was really good his Jr.and Sr. year.

Yes college years. Even said it in the post...? Their sophomore stats were similar. Just wondering if Jalen could take that next step.

Honestly tho I never thought Dak was gonna do anything close to what he has done in the NFL. I thought he'd get drafted but never really play. Surprising to me that he has done more than AJ McCarron tbh

What this brings to mind to me is, does Jalen end up a Florida next year? He'd be killer paired up with Mullen.

If possible I think Jalen will find a position where he won’t have to face Alabama. That’s the only way he could tarnish his legacy at Bama, transfer and beat us. I could see him at a Va Tech, ga Tech, maybe UNC, somewhere like that.

Hurts will go to a school, that will give him the best chance of starting along with the best QB coaching. That's what I would do if I was him. Let's,just hope it won't with a school,we have to play.

Correct. Jalen couldn’t get Robert Foster 20 catches last year and dude is balling in the NFL.
If their stats are similar, and Dak earned his stats with MSU talent (Fred Ross, Derunnya Wilson) then it’s Dak.

Ehhhh, no. Jalen has improved a lot but Dak was better than people seem to remember. On the college and NFL level.
