Why do so many people think that Alabama makes the playoffs even if they lose today?

Because they've watched football.

Because if it’s about picking the best four teams in the nation, Alabama has already qualified.

OU went to OT with army. And a loss to Texas is much worse than a loss to UGA.

And Purdue......

And we mouth raped every team we played, in the SEC.

Next question

A better questions is why do people think they won’t? They will have the best loss for any 1 loss team in the country and pass the eye test.

Made it last year.

Made NC in 2011.

No requirement to win conference.

Roster is loaded.

It is what it is.

Because Ohio State and Oklahoma aren't better than a one-loss Alabama team that blew everyone out, and their lone loss would be against one of the other 4 best teams in the country. Compare that to one team who has a loss to a 14th ranked Texas team, and another who has a 29-point loss to a 6-6 Purdue team.

The real question is who actually thinks Bama will lose today. The answer to that question is the answer to your question.

Because they’re Loss would be on a neutral field vs #4 UGA and they have wins over @#10 LSU, vs #18 MSU and #19 A&M

That’s a much better resume than Ohio State, Oklahoma and UCF.

Why don’t you ask every pundit on ESPN who’s been saying it for weeks now? As a Bama fan I’m wctually concerned about that and defintely just hope we win and it doesn’t matter. But literally every time they’ve had the conversation on ESPN they’ve said Bama is in regardless.

Because Alabama is the best team even if they lose to Georgia 9 times out of 10 they win

The better question is...

Why is the OP so scared of it happening?

Doesn’t matter anyways though. No Bammer mulligans will be necessary this time.
