Gus is trying to find his way back to a true dual threat qb where his offenses were almost unstoppable and our people want him fired instead. He was one game away from the playoffs last year, appeared in two NY6 bowl, two SEC championships and a national championship in 6 years. Most fan bases would be okay with that, but our fan base are petulant brats. I know Gus has his issues but it’s something that he’s trying to correct, but nothing will satisfy these mouth breathers. End melt.

Gus fired. One player doesn't change that.

New coach, new system. Tate is just, once again, a one year band-aid.

He'd better recruit some fricking linemen or a running back because we don't have them.

Gus is broken. Your fellow Auburn fans are just trying to keep the pieces together until you can get a new Gus. One that doesn't break 3 days after the warranty runs out.

I think most Auburn fans think Gus's biggest issue is that he's stubborn and refuses to fix his other issues. Getting the right QB will help, but Gus will still be stubborn and this will only be a band-aid.

I'll be honest. I really don't understand the Gus Hate. He needs more talent, but it's not Sumlin, where players actually got worse over time.
We all have to accept that it's Saban's world for a while and wait for him to be hired by the Browns. Until then, just do what you can.

I don’t get it either. There’s never been a greater tenure in our history since he’s been with our team.

wait, did the Gus bus get fired? Someone catch me up since I've been in my own pit of despair the last week or so.
Not really but what happened?

If Gus enjoyed his level of success at almost any other school in the SEC he'd be hailed a hero.
Wins the conference twice. Beat Bama twice.
And they just made him take a pay cut.

Good. Frick'em. Could not happen to a finer bunch. Suck on it, BowelJackson.

Look at Ole Miss if you want to see a broken fan base.

Don’t care. Couldn’t happen to a worse fanbase

Geez, some people can see his recruiting, no real SEC RBs and no futurd OTs.

You can’t make our fans see this at all.

Gus has not won the conference twice. To your point though, we want to make his arse yell uncle

Exactly why he's going to fail in the long run. He's measured against Saban, and Saban has adapted. Kirby will adapt. Ed O's replacement, probably. Jimbo, yeah. The Mississippi schools? Impossible to say this early. Chad? Anyway, as I was saying, when Gus entered the SEC as Auburn's OC, he brought some genuinely new and exciting offensive playcalling to the conference. Simple, yes, but effective...until everyone caught on. Gus appears to simply refuse to realize that he's going to have to put in real work to upgrade and improve his style. Upsetting a couple teams a year doesn't mean it's still good. That just means that, for a game or two, they manage to click.
Honestly, in that light, beating Bama and Georgia last year might have been the worst things possible for Gus' ability or desire to improve.
